You can obtain Hand of the Gods for 12000 Guild Points from the Guild Mark Vendor at the Alchemist Guild immediately after completing the Rank 36 Alchemist Guild Quest.

NOTE: Using extended duration abilities like Preserve will overwrite Hand of the Gods, and using one-time abilities like Harmonize will decrease the remaining duration of Hand of the Gods by 1.

EDIT: Harmonize reduced the remaining count of Hand of the Gods by one. I am not sure if this is a glitch but after trying the same thing with Perfection (which did not decrease the remaining count) I am inclined to believe so.

Can you try something for me StateAlchemist2? Can you see if you can edit the wiki tab with the information you added there? There isn't a place to put guild points on it because it's an ability and not an item, but I want to see if regular users can update the wiki or if it's just admins that have that ability. At least that way then your information will be searchable. Still put it in the comments too where you can, that's the only way I have to track the contributions at this time.

Edit: Ah I see, it's an item you get to learn the ability. It's item page is here: http://ffxiv.zam.com/en/item.html?ffxivitem=13000096#Comments

See this is one of the things I was talking about. There are two different pages for Hand of the Gods. The ability page and the item page. While the item page is theoretically necessary the ability page should incude all information from the item page due to the fact that in order to obtain the ability you have to purchase the item.

If it listed it's functionality, how-to-obtain, etc... on THIS page...that would be great.

I'll bring it up although I'm not sure of a way to make that happen right now.

"Temporarily reduces chances of success while preventing loss of durability."

For up to 4 turns, you lose 0 durability per turn whether you fail or succeed. In the case where an element blows up, you will lose a very small amount of durability, the largest ive lost has been 8, which would otherwise have been 18-25.

"Most effective for finished items."

crystals/shards, weapons, finished jewelry, pants fall under this category, where you will be given 4 turns before this ability fades. All other types of items only grant 3 turns.

I highly recommend this ability. Countless number of my crafts have been saved. Fairly low proc rate, pretty much use it as soon as possible to avoid unstable element troubles, or use it when you feel like you are struggling.
