Had most luck getting this in Grade 1's around Camp Black Brush in Thanalan (north of Ul'dah). Mined Tin Ore & Copper Ore in roughly same quantities as well as killing Copper Coblyns (these spawn plentifully especially at the hill top south of Camp Black Brush in 26/26). Used lay of land 1 to source mines obviously. Also picked up a fair bit of Yellow Copper Ore

Success was about 1 or 2 hits (3 to 6 chunks) per mine so after an hour I had about 25 chunks in various qualities to +3.

Sweet Spot (if you can call it that) is +3 for the Copper and -1 for Tin

Hope this helps people (like myself) who are trying to stock up Bronze Nuggets cause they are SO necessary for fabricating low end (7-17) tools.
