I'm a level 20 Miner and have completed 'Fade to White' but Linette will not offer me the quest. The only thing I can think of is that I have completed the level 20 Fisher quest and you can't do both or something.
Any thoughts?
Solved: I had not switched to the Miner class.

Rewards20,000 Gil and 2,000 Miners' Guild Marks Walkthrough1) Talk to Linette at the Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern in Ul'dah, and accept the quest. 2) Head to Nanawa Mines, which is north of Camp Blackbrush (20-27). 3) Talk to Z'ssapa at the mine entrance for a cutscene. 4) Talk to Z'ssapa AGAIN, or you won't be able to progress the quest. 5) Check your quest map. There will be three areas marked with ???s. Go to each ??? and mine at the closest mining point. You should get a quest item on your first successful dig; if you don't, you're at the wrong mining point. 6) Return to Z'ssapa for another cutscene. 7) In the instance, talk to Nenekko to trigger another cutscene. 8) Talk to Nenekko again for another cutscene (You do not actually escort her anywhere) 9) Return to Linette at the miner's guild to receive your reward Journal Entries

* Petrified Wood
* Ewer Fragment
Be aware that the proper mining point is a normal one, so it can be exhausted at the time of the quest. If this happens, just wait or mine in the area for a while. This happened to my Central Thanalan point. I exhausted the point myself before doing the 2nd talk to Z'ssapa.

Above post is right the yellow circle is on the other side of the ridge so quite far away. Follow your Lay of the Land ability.
Just bringing to peoples attention the area to go to is Nanawa Mines, not "Naniwa".
Just to clarify, the three areas marked on your map where you are supposed to mine do not necessarily contain the mining point within the yellow area. Instead, go to the yellow area and use your Lay of the Land ability. The mining point that it directs you to will contain the quest item. The point can be fairly far away from the marked area, 200 yalms or more.
