I had no problem at level 14 with this recipe. The crafting didn't fail once, I didn't use any facilities, but I was equipped with Copper Needle, Dated Cotton Doublet Vest and Cotton Scarf. Around 400 exp for every attempt.

I was able to do this from rank 13 weaver (23 phys) with Master support from Norbettaux (Ul'dah - 7-6 - Sunsilk Tapestries (a.k.a Weaver's Guild)) and was getting around 5-600 sp per success. It was quite hit and miss but not impossible.

This recipe is much higher then 15. I ASSURE YOU, it is at least 17.

15 around 4 weeks ago. Now I cannot make it at all. Then again perhaps I've lost my touch for the "sweet" spot by taking such a long break. I feel that this recipe has become more difficult over the last 4 weeks. I was able to make cotton cloth without much problem at rank.
As of Nov 26, 2010:

7x Earth Shard
Results in: 3x Undyed Cotton Cloth on both Primary and Secondary
I was able to complete the synth with comparability to an even-level synthesis as a lvl 15 Weaver with normal support from the camps. 300-ish XP per success.
Edit: I just received 3 bolts of undyed cotton cloth +1 from a HQ main hand.

Ohhh so it's possible the rank needed is now around 15 instead of 19? Sweetness! I'll have to see the difference in difficulty with/without the facilities support at R18. Thanks for the update!
Yes, The level seems to have been significantly lowered. The yield quantity has also gone up.

I'm currently lv14 Weaver and I can make these pretty easy with guild support from the weavers guild.
My gear for crafting is a Cotton Scarf, Cotton Gown, Cotton Halfgloves, Hempen Slops, Leather Toolbelt, Bronze Needle, Mapple Spinning Wheel and no rings, earrings and stuff.
Usable skills are Fulfillment and Maker's Muse.
Using Primary tool and mainly Standard synthesis.

Is "guild support" the same as "clothing shop" at the wild npc camp? I am weaver 14, Hempen Slops, bronze needle & Mapple Spinning Wheel. Did "wait" when "red" or "yellow". Using standard synthesis getting success rate like 25% only..

Same experience as the above. It must be up near rank 20. Kind of stupid they put the yarn and cloth 10 levels apart.

This item seems to require more than lv 11 weaving. I have tried making these with lv 13 and facilities help with no more than 50% done. Perhaps the "Weaving training" would make it possible at that lv? but don't you only get that training at lv 20+?
Yeah, my apologies, I haven't gotten to the Weaving section yet, so for now we just defaulted them to the lowest of the range on Lodestone.
