Hi all, I could not find this in detail so I ran through it with a new character to make sure it worked. Plus it seems to be missing under the tutorial quests listed for
Secalna Galnor. It is listed but not in blue, no link.

This is a great quest for returning players who have lost their guild status while not playing for years or months and is a must
for new players as most guilds want you to have a few levels before they
invite you. This has no level restrictions, can be done at level 1 or 100.

It starts with Secalna Galnor In Pok, next to loyalty merchant and Cresent
Reach Stone.

Hail Secalna

She responds: Hello whatever your name is. I hear you are
an up-and-coming new adventurer. Your future looks bright. Won't
you stay a moment and learn what I have to teach? If you miss your friends
in the Mines of Gloomingdeep it might be possible for me to {send} you
back there."

A Task screen pops up, choose Guilds and the Guild lobby. You do not need to
respond further to Secalna. Plus she can only send you back to Gloomingdeep if
your under a certain level.

Step #1 - Speak to Aven Spiritmaker near the entrance to the Guild Lobby.
He stands to the left of lobby entrance in white robe. Loc -353 1333

Well met whatever your name is, I see you have yet to align yourself with a {guild}
Traveling the lands of Norrath without allies can be very dangerous.

You say {guild}

He says: Guilds are groups of adventurers, brought together by common interests.
Being in a guild means being part of a greater group that can help answer questions
and offer advice. It's easy to find guilds that are looking for new members.
Depending on what your interests are, there's likely a guild that suits your needs.
If your inerested in {joining}, I can point you in the right direction.

You say {joining}

Task stage completed.

Aven says: "you're making a very wise decision! Just behind me
is the entrance to the Guild Lobby, where adventurers gather and prepare, or rest and
recuperate. Inside you'll find my guild's recruiter, Kesiri Dawnlark. She should be able
to tell you more about guilds and the guild lobby.

The rest is simply following the directions and responding with the words in {brackets}

Step #2 - Speak to Kesiri Dawnlark
Enter lobby and speal to Kesiri who stands to the left before you enter
the big room, loc 163 25

Step #3 Speak to a disciple of Luclin. There are two, one on each side of the big room.
They are in the same room with bankers, soul binders and corpse summoners.

Step #4 Return to Kesiri

Step #5 Find and click on any bulletin boards

Step #6 These are located in the rooms adjacent to where disciples are located.

Step #7 Return to Kesiri

At this point she says "No luck finding a guild? If your {willing} my guild would love
to have you as a member.

You say {willing}

A window pops up congratulating you on being a member of The Novices Of "Insert
your server name here" Like Novices of Xev/Tunare/Xegony etc.
Kesiri also buffs you with a 30 min protective shield called Kesiri's Gift.
Nice for low levels.

You now have access to guild ports in the Standard Guild Hall, which is the door on
the right by Magus. You must zone into the guild one time for other things to work,
like removing yourself from the guild.

There are no officers. Membership varies, there were 297 on my server when I ran through.
You can use the guild banker to put stuff in that you don't want and others might.
Personal banker is there as are the tradeskill equipment.
The Npc who is parcel merchant and seller of distillers for augs and the port
stone seller are there just like a normal guild hall.

There are some high level players that stay in this guild but others may choose to
leave when they find the guild they like. If you want to leave simply click the
EQ button - players - guild - highlight your name and click remove.
Kesiri will tell you to leave target yourself and type /guildremove also.

Even better than that. It can be done multiple times, at various levels, and the resulting augments will all have the same name, but they are different, and can be used simultaneously. The quest can be done every 10 levels til 70 (60?), and then every 5 levels after that til 90.

A public guild sounds like a great idea. One could dump unwanted gear on the banker via an alt -a secondhand charity broker.

This is really strange. I made a char on Vulak (a long time ago) and did the guild hall quest. I thought it was the normal one to get the aug. I wound up in a guild called... and I am not kidding "The solutionizers". There are 5 members. I have never seen one online.

OK, going to log in to a regular server and see if this Novices guild exists.

Emarr... I did the quest/join and found 3 people online. 294 member count. About 15 active in the last month. Kesiri, the person that gives the quest is listed as the guild leader @ level 1 oddly. I'll stick with it for a bit and see if anything comes from random association. But no I can't take over :(
