Hey all,
I'm a returning player after about 15 years being outta the game. I decided to start from the bottom and I created a Warrior which is not really what I'm used to playing (Had a Ranger as main before). My character is at lvl 50 now and I started working on my Epic 1.0. My question is: Is it even worth doing this quest anymore? I've see some of the insane weapons that are out now and I was wondering if maybe there are other weapons I can be questing for? Looking for suggestions. Thanks

Posters here really need to know what server type you are playing on to give good direction. Progression, live, those with free trading loot... makes a big difference.
The Epic 1.0 is a personal accomplishment. Depends if that invests you in a game or not. No epic is not going to harm you doing group play on any of the servers. Depending on the server and the era it is at... you wouldn't ever equip an epic on most classes of character.
How you are playing matters a bit too. Example: if you are running around with just your warrior and a cleric merc the answer will differ than if you are grouping with guildies on the Agnarr locked server.

The warrior epic is a cool weapon, what with being to convert back and forth from 1-hander to 2-hander. The epic quest was a lot of fun. But there are very few epics still "worth" doing, if you want to get very analytical about it. The epic graphics are cool and the only way to acquire an epic ormamentation is to do the epic quest first. I used to put the druid "leaf-blower" ornamentation on my higher-level weapons and periodically I would get tells from lower levels asking me incredulously if the druid epic was still worth equipping at 100+!
