After 5 or 6 years out of the game I am coming back, however I do have one quick question, I am aware all the recent changes with FoV and whatnot, but my biggest problem for me was gil making, is it still the slow / wait for auctions to sell grind it always was? or is it easier to make?

and is there still those multi million gil items like leaping boots, ochidos kote, scorpion harness, etc.. still a "requirement or you are gimp" item?

any input would help

Well this is the FFXIV forum, but I can tell you that the items you mentioned have dramatically reduced in price, and that FoV, when done often, nets one lots of gil. Additionally, there are "free" gear upgrades along the way that are actually really decent, such as things gained from campaign and whatnot.

In short, you should have a much easier time; welcome back.
