Uhh, does this just mean that they won't fly in the air while being fought? Because tbh they should always be like that >_> Quetzalcoatl feels all left out and gimpy compared to those two

Assuming that's what it means, as the only other alternative I can think of is them not spawning at all. To which I wonder, "Why the **** would we want that?"

Otherwise curious about how likely 119 component drops would be. If it's like a 1/10 chance, I feel it'd be underwhelming. On the other hand, if one was guaranteed, it'd certainly tempt me to try and collect a number of them for various sets. Yeah, I know augmented stuff tends to be better, but with Sylph dead as it was when I've tried playing during campaigns, upgrading AF/Relic has been my only real recourse. Skirmish stones may as well not even exist on the AH.

The only sort of issue I have with getting i119 JSE is getting Vagary clears... and since this is the same campaign for Vagary that they've always done (as in, no help with actually clearing the content) I'm still stuck in that regard. It's really such a stupid requirement for i119 AF3.

So overall, the campaign is still pretty underwhelming other than the fact I'll finally be able to convert the vast quantities of not-sacred-crests I've been hoarding.

That's pretty surprising since you're on Lakshmi too and one group of jp does vagary everyday around noon eastern. I'm willing to bet most if not all of people's vagary clears on Lakshmi came from the group, since they are willing to take others.

I neither know Japanese or am usually awake past noon EST >_> so yeah

Most groups that I have seen (very few in number nowadays) are reluctant to just take random people along due to how you lose out on some of the bosses if even one person dies (which is another really stupid mechanic, tbh)

Vagary is just not a very casual-friendly event and I have no idea what compelled them to lock i119 empy upgrades behind it when artifact/relic has no such restrictions.

I haven't logged on in weeks. Do people actually do these battles anymore? Or is this something people solo/duo? I remember some battles had their caps removed, but can't remember which ones.

Because it was designed at a time when people were pushing for it, thus it had more activity, like every other event designed in XI. People who were active at the time of an events inception tend to did what they needed to do then and there, with lower populations it doesn't hold up as well.

Similar to how in XIV you have people who wait till content gets nerfed before even touching it because most people capable of clearing the duty-finder only content tend to exhaust the content extremely quickly and move on thus leaving the people who struggle behind or those who pick it up too late in the update cycle.

I'm just saying the Vagary requirement for i119 AF3 seems very arbitrary, when you consider the artifact and relic upgrades didn't care about anything other than you bringing the requisite items.

Yeah, mainly due to Empyrean gear being far superior in design/use considering. Take for example the Empyrean Blu set versus their AF/Relic set, so it does make a bit of sense it's behind certain content to upgrade but it is definitely a step beyond the other reforging steps. It's partially why I always wish they tossed certain things in the older battlefields when they started pumping out the "High-Tier" versions.

Really depends on the job/slot, though. There's a few standout pieces, but many pieces still suck... just like the AF and relic.
