Pet Jobs in FFXIVFollow

Surely after reading the title a lot of you had the reaction "GOD NO, GO AWAY."
There's not a lot to talk about right now though and I thought this might be somewhat interesting even if it has been driven into the ground.

I'm of the opinion that pet jobs in FFXI were far from as great as they could have been.

One of the biggest problems, to me it seems at least, was that SE tried to divide damage between you and your pet.
After seeing how they made Archer's main weapon a bow and removed the ability to use other weapons I thought to myself; "Why not do something similar with pet jobs?" Why not remove the master?"

Do people really need to swing a weapon along side their pet?
It would seem much more fun to me to have a pet that did more damage.
Give players a flute, horn, whip, or remote control; then let the pet do the work.

What would make pet jobs appealing to you?
Unique jug pet skins?
More interaction?
Why wouldn't you like to see pet jobs?
