Ok so I read a post of a mithra (conjurer I believe) attempting to grind some exp in the beta. Apparently there was a gladiator already there that did not take kindly to her being there exping off the same mobs. So what does said gladiator do? He changed to his level 20 Archer and was one shotting the mobs so the mithra could not exp. I'd hope there was plenty of mobs for 2 people. What the gladiator did seemed selfish and rude. The mithra even posted the screenshots of the gladiator being verbally abusive as well.
Now on to my point.
The whole change classes on the fly (except in combat) is a unique feature to ffxiv, although i can see big problems like the one above happening quite alot. Instead of the old days of mpk trains (which SE fixed in ffxi) we are now going to see people upset by someone camping near "THEIR" Atheryte(sp?) crystal. If said person or party has a high level class, they may switch to it and start harassing the other party by doing what the gladiator in the above story did. Now I'm from ffxi so i apologize for comparing the two, I know this is not ffxi. But I cant shake from my mind how having to go to your mog house to change classes detracted from this type of issue arraising. I know it did happen now and again in ffxi, but it was rare since you had to go to MH, etc. I feel like this is going to be a huge issue in this game.
What are your thoughts?
