The event so captured the imagination of the populace, rumors abound that it is set to become a regular fixture upon the Eorzean calendar. I quite enjoyed last years event. This years event still seems fun but it doesn't have the mystery of what will happen if the Archons do show up. Last year speculation ran wild.
So it's exactly the same event or we will be getting those egg rings or whatever yes? On one hand I'm torn because I'd like something different than last year, but I suppose 1.22 and 2.0 are much more important to me in the long run.

I love the fact that they call out the fact that last year's event didn't go over well.
They don't go into much details, so, while it most likely is the same. However, they do go into the fact that people's memory is muttled. So, the event is most likely slightly different. But, killing those little buggers over and over again will be fun to hunt down.

Unless you think they're being sarcastic? It quite clearly states that the event was a success... and IMO I quite enjoyed it even if it was a bit on the easy side (I think I was R30-35ish at the time I don't recall). The only thing I was dissapointed in (as were some others), was the fact that mass insanity and calamity didn't ensue post event.

I liked last years event and only was sad nothing happened right afterward, but I got over it.
It would be nice if this years event had a twist to it but I will settle for egg related trinkets!

I was referring to the forum posts of people upset about it when it happened, and I assumed that was what the text was in reference to. I seem to remember a few posts about bell jokes, and what are we supposed to do with these helmets, and the such.
Personally, I know I enjoyed it, I still have all (but one) of the helms, and plan on getting all of the new items (wish I could get the egg helm I missed).
If memory serves me correctly, this was the first functioning quest for Yoshi (I don't count the bell things, since, lets face it, they were just fillers for events).
And while people complained before it started, until it ended, those who did it enjoyed it.
But, I admit my first statement was apparently too short of a statement to really cover that thought.

While what you're recalling may have happened... I don't recall negative threads about the event.

Oh, gods, I remember the dark days of bells... it was a terrible time, with bells used for everything. Have you ever tried to eat out of a bell? To ride a bell to work? To sneak up on a Garlean soldier while wearing bells on your shoes? To dress your wounds with a bell? I'm surprised any remain from that barbaric, and tinkly, era...

My 35 Pug last year i couldn't get the higher helmets solo.Looking at my jobs this year i might have a slim chance. XP changed alot in the past year, for solo grinders.

Ugh. Don't remind me. When I saw they were rolling out Christmas bells (again) for the Valentine's Day event last year, I've never thought the game was more doomed.
Thankfully, this event ended that sad and horrible practice; truly, a rebirth from the darkest of days, appropriately enough
