Ok, wait. But those housing areas were just shown as concept art?
Or was there some real in-game footage?
Because anything looks good as concept art!

There are plenty more images in the thread I linked, Magnesium02 is the one who took all those screen caps.

They explored the Limsa Lominsa housing area in-game

not the other ones.

It looked pretty good.

I think this might be it, the moogle mailbox looks like what they said your mailbox would look like. I could be wrong.

Thanks a lot! I fear I may have sub-defaulted your post instead of rating it up. It's become sort of a reflex! >.</

Yeah, but they also explored the general area which had the same layout as the concept art with the beach view and all that. I guess nobody posted screencaps with more views of the housing area. Someone will re-upload the video anyway.

I have to say I was a little disappointed when Yoshi-P said the classes and jobs will be staying as-is (classes for solo, jobs for party).

I bet they could implement new jobs faster if they didn't have to balance out two versions of it.

The whole class/job duality is a very, very limiting relic from the past that should have been burried two years ago.
It will continue to bite them in the *** for as long as this game is running.

While a new class would require a corresponding job, I should think they could add new jobs without having to add new classes. It's a 2 to 1 ratio right now (you need to have one class level 30, another level 15 before getting a specific Job) but that doesn't limit them from adding new jobs with different class requirements. An example: right now there isn't a job that requires GLA and PUG, so they could add one with those requirements without having to add a new class.

Q40: Will you be implementing a feature where you can directly research monsters and item stats from in-game?
A40: No. However, we are looking into a smart phone app, so we’d like you to research it from that.

Calling it:
Price: $14.99

"Q8: Will you be eliminating open dungeons like Castrum Novum from 1.0 where you could enter without having to make a party?
A8: The things we are calling dungeons will all be instanced dungeons, but that doesn’t mean that all of the dungeons that existed in version 1.0 will be turned into instances. There will be things such as FATE that take place in them. "

Someone wanna make sense ioof that for me? they said thing sthey are calling dungeons will all be instanced but then say all the DUNGEONS that existed in 1.0 will not be turned into instances... umm but i thought they just said everything they call dunegons will be instanced?

Also no random stuff like treasure chests in a dungeon or area? wtf? umm isnt this supposed to be an RPG? Cant think of any RPG that didnt have that lol.

Lastly you cant view erozea from teh air? sooo umm a PS2 game could do that (ffxi) but a ps3 one cant? oookay

Everything that was a "dungeon" in 1.0 - e.g. an interior, underground area - will not be a "dungeon" in 2.0 - e.g. an instanced zone.

Some of the 1.0 "dungeons" will remain as open, non instanced areas with FATES in them.

yes but this is where the confusion comes in at... if some 1.0 areas will remain uninstanced.. but dungeons are anything that IS instanced.. then what would the non instanced dungeons from 1.0 then be called?

And FATES will take lace in non instanced dungeons? cool so SE will giv eus a reason to explore them other than just having an empty forgotten non instanced interior area with nothing in it just to say "we have non instanced dungeons too" lol.
