The drop rate on that BCNM could hardly be considered an option Smiley: laugh

its better than getting zero chance at all at a drop because you cant compete with the bots camping the actual NMs spawn or you had better things to do then be on FFXI at 2-5am like sleep.. or work...

The odds were just about zero, especially when you think of how long it takes to farm that many seals, the chances were very good none of your orbs will drop what you want. I think most people who did BCNM/KSNMs only did it for the gil. If you went in hoping you'd get a P. Charm or whatever rare item was supposed to drop you were most likely disappointed. I don't know many people who would argue that this was a good solution for anything. In fact, after they did that I managed to catch Argus unclaimed several times and had a Peacock Amulet for both my main char and my mule.

I am a Legacy Member, I also acknowledge the NDA. I can't think of any reason why aywone will not panic. Quite literally the game turned out as i preditec. And they seem to have that major problem i said they would regarding the two Playerbases they seem to want to court :)

Also Is only Alpha.... It's only beta... It's only Beta phase 2.... Do not panic, they will add "Stuff" in it's first year, statements have already started to surface.... Deja Vu ?

thank for pretty much confirming that ARR isnt the huge revamp thats "built from the ground up" and different from 1.0 so significantly that they might as well be two different games, that everyone around here would lead people to believe lol

So basically ARR is just one huge patch/band aid with a new subtitle thrown in to get ppl who may despise the games attention... and nothing close to the reconstructive surgery that would make John Travolta look like Nicholas Cage (surel Im not the only one whos seen Face Off) that ppl would like us to believe it is.

yeah I did BCNMs/KSNMs for gil to buy those very things that dropped.. i,e if i wanted a peacock charm Id do the bcnm/ksnm to either get the drop or if that doesnt happen eventually the gil i did get would be enough to buy one), as for farming LKS or BS.. i played teh game since NA PS2 launch.. i NEVER used BS or KS until years later when the NM item dropping BCNM/KSNMs came out so I already had thousands of KS/BS stockpiled so farming was never an issue for me

ARR is merely a one huge patch? I mean, I was pretty sure humanity would not let me down in that comments like this would arise...

so are you saying i suck at reading comprehension? Because what I said is exactly what it looks like Ostia is implying and considering he/she is playing the beta I would THINK he/she knows what theyre talking about..

As for not letting the door hit me, Im still gonna play it, Im sure Ill still like it i just wont like it as much as i COULD have or as much as i liked FFXI. There are plenty of games I dont rate highly (white knight chronicles is only a 6/10 in my book) that i spend thousands of hours playing, and since I like MMO and FFXIV will be the only REAL mmo available for non backwards compatible PS3s (otherwise Id play FFXI) then FFXIV wins by defult because itll have nothing else to choose from on that platform.

But yeah if i were playing on PC I could name at least 20 MMOs Im sure Id probably like more

Some people have an agenda. Ostia even states the game is turning out exactly as s/he predicted.

If you can't see through the explicit bias, well, hopefully you can decide for yourself when the time comes at least.

I have seen Ostia's posts on [NDA] and they don't really paint any picture but his or her very own. Believe what you wish.

I think what they meant by content, is the raiding-like content, and there won't be any raiding-like in open world with the closest to it being FATE.

Well if we follow that logic, they adding an eye patch is adding content, now real MMO players do not consider an addition of an eye pach as a content release, as far as raiding like content is concerned, from what Yoshi has stated there will be the crystal tower and bahamuts labrynth, which will be gated at first, which means you can only get to floor 5 of crystal tower at release and so only so far into the labrynth, with additional access later on (Which both are istanced) as far as opened world raiding, i believe Odin will be roaming ? and FATES are like hmm Rifts and GW2 zerg fest.

I am not sure you are allowed to explicitly say "I have access to [NDA]" which implie you are in beta w/o saying "Hey i am legacy"
