the trial monthFollow

I asked a friend about this and he wasn't sure.

When ARR kicks off people get a month to try right? Do we get to use that month whenever or is it being specifically timed?

When beta phase 4 comes on, it will be open beta meaning you can play for free. After the launch i didn't read anywhere for a free month and i doubt that is true.

Probably the standard 30 days free when you purchase a new copy of the game. Legacy and 1.0 players alike who are getting a free client will probably not get a free 30 days on top of it to boot.

Actually I was pretty sure legacy and returning were getting a freebie month.

Could be insane though... wouldn't be the first time.

It was in the older road map for ARR.

A free month for anyone almost definitely won't happen. It's just a benefit for returning players, I think.

I would assume (or hope) there will be a free trial for people though.

I remember seeing this as well. The idea was to invite those who had quit to come back and try the new game. Whether or not this is tied to free beta testing for all service account holders or not remains to be seen.

The month (or 30 day, to be precise) free trial will more than likely be granted when you first link ARR officially to your SE account. If you delay the link you'll probably delay the billing (and first /logon) I can't see it being a specific 30 day period only- It's a paid MMO standard to have 30 day sub included.

As stated above, Beta Phase 4 will have 1.XX characters available for use and the data from phase 4 will transfer to the release of 2.00. According to the roadmap the only benefit is: ( I see nothing in stone about Legacy members getting 30 days free, unless you are counting the beta)

Quote:
- Version 1.0 service account holders will be able to download the commercial ARR client
free of charge.
* Those wishing to play on PlayStation®3 are required to purchase a copy of the game for
that system.

"Free Trial Period" is listed under relaunch. Ideally, service account holders will get some free time to test the game. This wouldn't ever be a perk given to legacy members, but to anyone who'd ever played 14 prior to 2.0

I'm pretty sure anybody who purchased v1.0, will have a free month to try the game out. Also, those who purchase ARR and are new players will also get their first month for free as well. This is all after the official launch of ARR. this does not include the free time to play during beta phase 4.
