I'll call myself a fangirl for you all but lets be honest. Sony hiccupped a strong initial library with PS3. When PS3 first released, the blu-ray war hadn't been won yet. Sony didn't have Halo (flavor of the month).
With an out of the box web browser (loooong before smart TV's) and open online service, Sony lost to the 360 because they neglected the library of games they needed. Particularly at launch. Not to mention a price point that XboxOne is taking heat for atm.
Bad decision making on MS's part plays a roll, don't get me wrong. But I found Sony's release library much stronger than MS's, imo. Again, PS3 was a hiccup. Sony will always be the console to beat.
