Beta Emails for Phase 3Follow

Very disappointed that I haven't gotten a PS3 invite. I am legacy for PC, but no longer own a PC capable of playing the game so I haven't been able to make use of my previous beta invites and have been banking on PS3 for a chance to finally play. If anyone wants to trade a PS3 code for my legacy account, I will actually let you have the legacy account and free client download that comes with it when the game comes out. I just want to get a chance to check the game out on PS3, where I will definitely be playing from when the game releases.

Just got an email with a PS3 beta code. I don't remember signing up for the PS3 beta, but I definitely signed up for the PC beta. Maybe I signed up for both. Not complaining, but I won't be able to do anything until I get home from work either way.

I'll trade you my PC beta access, which is attached to my legacy account (meaning you get to download the game for free at release) for your PS3 access. I don't have a PC capable of running XIV anymore and plan to play from PS3 only, so my legacy status is useless to me.

You can play your legacy characters on the PS3...the accounts transfer over, you'd just need to register your PS3 code for launch to that account. I wouldn't throw it away just for beta access.

My legacy characters aren't anything impressive; just a handful of level 20-somethings, at best. I plan to start with a clean slate, new character regardless. I'm sure I could scrounge some gear/gil from the existing characters, but it's not important enough for me to skip beta access if I could get in. I'd rather just be able to play!

Everyone who has these beta invites so far - Were you all 1.0 account holders? Or did you, like me, just randomly sign up on beta application page with high hopes with no prior XIV affiliation of any kind?

I had nothing to do with FFXIV prior to getting my beta. I signed up many, many years ago for 1.0 but never got anything. Then when Phase 1 started I signed up for PS3 and here we are, Phase 3 and I finally got a damn code.

I was the same as him... Just a PlayStation user that has been watching videos, and has been dreaming of stepping foot into this new world, while being teased with many releases, promises, and setbacks along with nothing but reading and filling out beta apps. LOL

Lol, im actually in the same boat. I was up heaving blood outta my lungs at 10am, and I can't do much today as a result.

I was HOPING to maybe play some FF14 beta tho and relax, but instead im sitting here banging my head against the invisible customer service wall for now, trying to see what happened to my invite, which much like yours, is painfully late.

and for the third time now, after a 20-30 minute wait each time on the chat support, I got a message saying "Status: Canceled
There are no agents available to chat with you right now. Please try again later."

Back in I go!

I got PS3 Code. But SE trolled me. The code to register the Beta works. But the code to DL the game from PS Store did not. Oh well, I had forgot I signed up anyway so not really a loss.

The code you received might not match the region of your PSN account. But you can create another separate PSN account for any region you want to try and match it to your code. For example a US code in Canada, or vice versa. Create a PSN account with an address in a different country to match the codes. I'd hate to see a PS3 invite go to waste while I sit and pray for one lol

Got ahold of SE phone support after a long wait. They're getting SWAMPED with calls about where peoples keys are apparently.

According to the guy I spoke with they're STILL sending out PC keys, and nowhere near done yet. So we all just need to keep an eye on our emails.

Apparently this number of players that wanted in was BEYOND unexpected to them btw. Think back to WoW's beta days, when they got slammed harder then any MMO ever when they tried to get up and running, and just flat out had to go out and buy better servers, lololol.

So good news for FF14's future, eh? But bad news for those of us still waiting. XD

Yeah, it may be annoying in the moment, but it's gonna be fantastic for the game in the long run. I can wait patiently now knowing what I know.

The guy I got on the phone was SUPER humble and nice and personable too. I was very happy with my customer service experience once I got through. It just took a while because they're so swamped over there atm. The chat support system isn't even working due to it apparently, lol.

Hey first time post! I just got my email for ps3, tried to download it and it kept saying my code didnt work. I had to make a new PSN account with a United States residence listed (I'm Canadian) and it accepted it, just a headsup for any other Canadian beta hopefuls

Just got a funny image: the guy you were talking to being nice and polite while someone else takes a fire extinguisher to the chat server behind him because it burst into flame.

Well it's nice to hear that they are working on getting us our keys, however I'm still a little suprised they didn't think to start sending keys out earlier. Logistics are important, the game can be great but they need to plan their tech and customer service well or they will scare off people with problems who will scare off more with bad word of mouth. I'm confident the game will be successful, but they need to communicate to people the current keys situation. Anyhow I'm glad to hear some people are getting to play.

I actually did ask him about why they didn't send them out earlier. Apparently they simply didn't realize how many keys they had to send out until yesterday. They had a projected number, but they didn't know the actual number until it was an OH **** too late moment.

Guess they just didn't think this could possibly have happened, lol.

Lesson learned.

Well better now than on a patch day or official relaunch day. I don't think anyone really wants to see this game fail. I'm just a bit impatient to get in there and stab some kneecaps.

For the people who have their keys already, did all of you get your e-mail conformation ahead of time, or are there some of you that got the code but no prior e-mail? I have gotten neither, so I'm trying to stay positive in the hopes I may still receive a code.
