Dungeon tokens: Higher level of token can be exchanged for higher level items. (Damn video...) Those items you can get in certain battles, you'll be able to get the tokens and use those to get those items by purchase instead of drops.

A lot of players have been really fanatical about card games and mini games, and they're really anxious to hear more. Is there any update?

Still haven't had a good idea on Yoshi's desk yet. Someone send Yoshi a good idea...

How many zones will there be at launch?

Yoshi: "We haven't been counting but we know at launch probably with areas and dungeons combined, 40 ish with the ability to expand to about 80ish"

We haven't really been counting them. We know that at launch with probably area/dungeons combined we hope to have 40ish with the ability to expand to about 80ish over patches.

"Instanced Primal Battles are similar to 1.0 in that it is small field and small party taking on a single primal in multiple modes. Pretty much the same as what we've had before. Think of it as a one on one battle. Your party against this primal."

Looks like they are reusing the FFXI model for Carbuncle. Smiley: bah

Some FATES will have phases where, for example, you have to cut off the behemoth horn before he can take damage.

For Odin he'll be out there walking and everyone will attack but then he'll maybe have a move with a large AOE and everyone will scatter out of the way. If they don't get him down in enough time then he slashes everyone in half.

sounds like Odin is a freeforall. Don't have to be in party.

You don't have to be in a party for any fate. You run into the fate area and start killing @#$% until it's over.

How much more different can Carbuncle look...? It looks just fine in FFXI. No need to make a new model when the old one looks just as well.
