I didn't think I'd enjoy playing FFXIV ARR as much as I did, but now I find myself going through withdrawals, and can't wait to play again... Hurry, SE, Hurry!!! I know I can't be alone in this. :/

I'm with you on this. I'm looking more at the forums than before the test started! Can't wait to get my 1.0 character back and do some more exploring.

I hear ya... I'm at work here constantly refreshing these and the beta forums while staring at the pile of work in front of me and just thinking... nah.

I've been discussing the game with my friends. Helps pass the time, sure, but it also psyches me up.

Same, was pissed at how short this trial was. Worst part I work again next weekend (assuming it'll be then.)

I'm with you! For the first time I actually want more FFXIV. I wasn't sure if I wanted to throw more money at SE after buying two collector's edition for 1.0, but now I find myself wanting to preorder the PS3 version (PC issues unrelated to the game) after trying it this weekend.

I am twitchy to get back on too. I have not been excited about a game like this... since FFXI.

.... I'm in deep trouble.

I was just telling my girlfriend last night that I was having withdrawal symptoms. I bought 1.0 on pc and was very disappointed. I got into phase 3 beta on my ps3 and went into it not expecting much...this weekend changed that. They have made the changes that I wanted to see. There's other changes that need to be made and I've given my input. But I've seen enough to make me want to upgrade my pc version (will be free for me anyway) AND get the ps3 version (can play when I'm out of town). After playing FFXI for over 5 years, I'm getting nostalgic. I know it isn't FFXI, but it has a bit of that "magic" that other former FFXI players are looking for.

I haven't played this game since the Japan Tsunami back in 1.0. Dying to play this game and can't wait for Aug 27th

I was kind of anticipating this to an extent. 1.0 was the only other MMO to hold my attention for any length of time since XI. Seeing how they've improved on nearly every aspect of the game, I'm in danger of losing my friends and family once again.

I must say i am 10-20 times more excited for the game in phase 3 than i was in phase 2. P2 was ok but phase 3 won me even more!

I did not get to play because they did not send me the correct code. When is it back on again?

Next weekend?

Yeah I've got the withdrawls as well.

And the Beta forms are indicative of that too, the trolls have finally come out to play after an entire weekend of praise. Awell. It was good while it lasted. I'll have to defer to other game forums when this thing gets live. I'm fairly certain we'll have the hypocrites hating the game while paying for subscription.

Did they tell you it was the wrong code? Some of the letters could be different than what you typed, I think I had that with a zero and an Ohh. Just sayin. That kinda sucks, Bro.

I only got the 20 digit code to put into my Square-Enix account to register... they messed up and did not send me the 12-digit code for the PS3... I'm waiting on them to send me the 12-digit one so I can register, then I saw this thread and now I'm wondering when it will be back up again.

I didn't know it was only on the weekend.

They're doing 2-3 day play times, then they analyze the server logs and comb through the feedback threads to fix bugs and confirmed glitches during the rest of the week.

Oh okay so it's down until this coming weekend? Damn, that sucks... hopefully they can get me the 12-digit PSN code before Friday then!

Sadly, most companies keep the beta running, actively scan and fix bugs, and then implement them on a consistent basis while checking out other critical components.

Little things, like server stability, load capacity, tester bug finds, balance issues, performance issues. . . . .

Like everyone else, I really enjoyed what little time I got in the beta. I was pleasantly surprised I got a beta key for being an ex XIV customer, digusted by SE account management [typical for SE] and shocked that their idea of trying to win me back was several "weekends" of beta play.

Disclaimer:

I'm married with Children. My weekends are not my own.

SE: you need to fix that if you wanna bring your disgruntled ex customers into the fold! I feel it's extremely fair for you to bend over backwards to please each and every one of your disgruntled customers. . . after all, we experienced 1.0, and that's X amount of our lives we'll never get back!

I'm sort of getting back into the NBA 2k13 I was playing regularly before this past weekend. Took some time to get interested again though. Initially I wasn't in the mood to play anything aside from my next chance with XIV.

The My Player mode in that game is one of the best in any game I've played. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the NBA 2k series makes the most realistic sports games on the market. Fifa is great, Madden is adequate, but the mechanics in the last few 2k games have just been spot on.
