My Taru looked badass in Dragoon AF. He was a spiky metal ball of death.

My original 1.0 character was an awesome little lalafell gal named Leeloo. She was quite popular. I got yelled at by many people when I got rid of her and came back as a gargantuan roegadyn. There are certainly some major camera changes when switching from one extreme to the other. That took a bit to get used to.

As for gear, the miniature stuff, especially weapons, can be cool. Though it's also nice to see more of your gear on a roegadyn. One thing I missed from XI was their tail and how some of the gear would cover the 1st part of it.

Corbin Dallas multipass?

Lalafell walking animation makes it all worth it.

Does anyone else ever realllllly want to be a Lalafell but then have this deep feeling on anxiety because they are actually SOO small that you can't see their awesome gear?

Yeah... this is my biggest problem I'm having today Smiley: lol

I was thinking about this earlier. I played a Tarutaru in ffxi, and really didn't mind it at all.

You darn tarus... if ever I'd make a comment about how your gear looked you'd just panic dance. I'd coo and forget what the conversation was about!

Haha! Looks like your going to experience that again; the panic emote in ARR is nearly identical to ffxi.

YES! I would have set /panic on my taru as the standard for all gaming emotes ... except nothing will EVER measure up to that standard!

As a taru DRG, I got many jokes about using Galka toothpicks as weapons. That is, until a) I went /panic, or b) I went double attack, jump, penta thrust, dead mob :)

But having a wyvern named Gizmo, with an emote like "/em Come Gizmo, let us ride forth to glorious battle!" for my call wyvern macro probably didn't help my cause!

Yeah, that's a difficult dilemma. A good friend of mine played Taru in FFXI. He loved his character, but he said he was always jealous of humes and mithras because of how perfect their gear looked on them. I love the novelty of being a little lala mage girl, but I don't know how long I could get in to it.

That's a hard choice... some of us just know it fits. I'm 6'5", so Tarutaru made perfect sense to me.

Haha, I'm only 5'11''. Maybe I have a short complex that stops me from playing short characters :(

You're an inch over average US man, enjoy it.

All I get out of the deal...

1) designated Shelf reaching slave/Gutter cleaner.
2) Clown Cars, EVERYWHERE.
3) Every little %#(%$ who wants sagging jeans buys your normal size out at the store. (hail internet!)
4) Tall enough to hit your head on almost everything, Too short to see it before you get there.

Lala works, just wish the name weren't so teletubby-ish.

I was a Tarutaru in XI for 6 years, I have been a Lala for almost 3 in XIV. I absolutely hate smaller characters in almost all games, besides FF ones. GIVE ME MOOGLE RACE!

Also, I've seen a trend where the most beautiful females play Lala's because of the cuteness factor.

Edit" Lala's also have the best emote set. Fact!
