I love EVE's build order system. It would help mitigate shouts for XX level crafter along with easing the distress of the individual seeking said crafter.

I really enjoyed WAR's RvR stuff even though I'm not usually a PvP type, and I wouldn't mind if there were similar events sometime down the road for XIV... say some special treasure is located and all three nations temporarily ignore their shaky alliances and hunt for it. A special zone becomes a nation vs nation brawl and whoever controls the excavation site for a given period of time gets maybe an XP or Gil bonus for a certain time period or a special treasure or whatever.

DDO has (had?) things in their dungeons that make certain classes valuable (although the smaller party sizes made it much harder to choose than XIV's larger dungeon groups will). For example a Thief or a Mage could locate traps or have a chance to open doors you would normally require a key for, a warrior of specific strength could possibly bash a door... For me I hated the closed world feel of DDO (I quit before F2P) but it was the first game where I didn't feel used, but useful as a Thief class... well I liked hate control in XI, but bad tanks or other party members could affect your usefulness.

Totally, but here's the deal. When you use Transmogrification to change the look of an armor to look like another you own, you are still wearing the original armor; it just looks like the one you changed the visual too.

For Example:
I am wearing a scorpion harness as a monk, but I think my Temple Cyclas looks way cooler. I go to the npc and put my Scorpion Harness in to one box and my Temple Cyclas in to the other box. Hit the check and bam! My scorpion harness now appears as a Temple Cyclas when I equip it. However I am still wearing a Scorpion Harness with +10 acc -20 eva. It just looks like a Monk AF body. If I do this with all my gear, I can look like a real monk, no matter what gear I'm wearing for their stats.

I hope that clears up any confusion for anyone. It is a very cool system.

after playing very hardcore with no sleep this weekend on ps3 version... I believe there should be some way to add a vent or VoIP system in game for the ps3 players convience... Not only is it nice to casually talk to someone while running copperbell or while your just hangin out craftin... It would also be very helpful for those of us running EG as well... Just something I noticed while playing that bothered me a lil...

To add to the coolness of this feature... when you swap from an item that looks the same as another item in FFXI, there is usually a blink that causes people trying to target you to lose target. This lead to a lot of WHMs healing themselves because their intended target was gear swapping.

If FFXI had such a system as transmog, you could make all the gear you use in a certain slot, look the same. That way, you can swap gear without having to worry about blinking. I mentioned this ages ago as a suggestion, but SE wasn't hearing it. Even though there are reasonable people who agree that they'd benefit from it, they don't want it implemented because, well... more like WoW.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

Some of the XBOXers in FFXI in my LS just used vent on their laptop while they played on their console.

Transmog is a great feature in wow and I agree it would be cool in this game as well.

Tbh though, Rifts wardrobe system is superior to transmog.

Either would be nice to have!
/fingers crossed for one day :)

I could be wrong, but it sounds like the transmog system is a type of vanity slot system which has been mentioned to be on the way, just not at launch (Which Seriha also mentioned):

Nova Crystallis: How is progress on the vanity slot system coming along? Will it still be released in a later patch or might it make it for the official release?
Yoshida: The design is already in the system, so it’s just deciding when to implement it. If we sort of add that slot to the UI now it won’t work straight away so it’s just about the timing. I probably won’t add it in the beginning because it might be too complicated and won’t look great, so maybe in six month’s time.

I would LOVE to see the housing system from Everquest 2 in game. It allowed you to buy housing of various sizes and interior styles. You could customize the windows, place and scale different objects, add mirrors, lighting and seating, put pets in the house, add photos on the wall, etc...THEN you could post your house to a EQ2 Cribs type thing that allowed people to come and check out your place.

Peep THIS video :)

I would also like to see the part of the FFXI housing where you could actually grow plants and possibly do other things (feed fish, play with pets, invite guests over for tea and biscuits).

That would be perfect.

Capes and cape physics. CoH and CoV managed to do it...

I would have given anything to transmog a subligar. Instead I just wore the level below until I got to the level above it.

Most definitely. Cool housing will be a must. I love growing plants in FFXI. Pikko made me so much money on nuggets!
(lol, I grew plants and sold nugs)

I'm totally for this. I always hated that capes were missing in FFXI. It would need a show/hide option in the UI for those who don't like seeing theirs.

Does ARR have a hide helm option? If not, they should add one.
