I agree with this completely. Everyone riding around on this mount would take away from what Odin is in my eyes.
so i've never beta tested before, but being legacy and all, just registered, downloaded everything and went to play and it says "please wait until the next beta." Am I too late or something?
I want to ride around on a pink unicorn.

Read the beta forums, the test for this week hasn't started yet. The servers aren't up 24/7.

They have. It's under "beta schedule."
