I believe the tilde ~ key changes languages.

Also, "***" is considered by some to be a derogatory term. You should either spell out Japanese, or use the common abbreviation JP.

it's freedom of speech and short for Japanese he can say what he wants where ever he wants. Get over you self liberal.

Agreed. Enough with the white guilt crap. He's just shortening the word for Japanese.

Freedom of speech does not apply as this is a private forum. Furthermore, it's not a liberal or conservative issue, nor a white guilt issue. It's just common courtesy to not use words that may be misinterpreted by others.

Furthermore, anyone who thinks Freedom of Speech means you can just say whatever they want is ignorant. It only means you can have an opposing opinion to your government. Not only is using derogatory terms like that against the rules of the forum, but it's also considered a hate crime.

Obviously, this isn't being used in a negative way and honestly isn't even a big deal. But really? Freedom of Speech? Ha!

Okay guys, let's try to keep things on the original topic.

Additionally, even though the OP may not have intended to mean it in that form, terms of such nature are still considered derogatory, and outside of the Asylum, such slurs aren't tolerated.

So to the OP, please shorten it to JP or just write out the whole word in the future. It'll keep this from ever being an issue again.

Never apologies to anyone for what you said, they don't think twice about insulting your use of a word why should you apologies for saying it! if they don't like it then it's their problem not yours.

I was about to write a wall of text to explain it to you but then I realized that if you haven't figure it out yet then it does not worth it.

For the record I wasn't angry nor put any thought on it because I understood that the OP simple didn't understand it but not only that he also apologized about it so he has my rates up whatever that means for others.

I don't allow that word here, regardless of what people might think it was originally used as a slur and I won't tolerate it. Feel free to PM me with questions.
