Don't feel so threatened Smiley: lol

This is subjective, just an opinion. Nothing is going to change in game. Don't panic.

I have to say no changes to the current system. I found that even though I was not playing for the future during the beta I found myself using porters, airships, and rental chocobos to get around more than teleporting unless it was a necessity to get to a party or something. The cost is pretty expensive, but not a barrier, which is the right balance. Who really cares that people that played a broken game for a year can teleport more than a new sub? Players will explore, players will be in most zones at any given time. The anima system was ******** as well, for the reasons already posted above; mostly because time sinks are probably the worst idea in games ever.

Man, I was teleporting all over the damn place, never once did I think that it was ruining immersion.

If teleporting ruins immersion, then you must also think that the free ride back to a levequest NPC after it's completed is ruining immersion as well?

I think once people get past level 25 and don't have the restrictions of the beta that the cost will be so small no one will even notice...

I tend to favor slightly raising the tele costs. It forces a new gamer to get out and see the world a little bit without relying 100% on the teleport. Then once they have leveled, they will easily have enough to teleport at their hearts desire.

You're forced anyway since you need to get to the place and attune with it in order to TP after.

You're forced to travel a small portion of a map exactly one time.

Hmm? Not sure the reasoning here. Everyone will have to travel to every part of every map to unlock the crystals and dungeon entrances.

For discussion, are you saying that players should have to eventually resort to walking to places they have already been?

People who play quite a bit are going to run outta teleport juice even at the current anima costs. Raising the teleport costs will result in those players having to travel by land more often. I don't see any benefit to that.

I personally think teleports are very important to get players to the parts of the game they really enjoy, rather than having repetitive traveling be a larger % of total game time.
