What's the responsiveness issue? Combat or UI related?

I only ask because I don't recall feeling any input lag on my end.

It deals with combat and damage. For instance, when you jump off a high cliff, there's a .5-1 second delay before you take damage. Things like this can also be seen with AoE's and the red circles. People are moving out of range of the red circles, but are still taking damage afterwards. Or when an Instant spell is cast, there's a delay of .5-1 second when it should be 0 seconds and etc.

I've experienced it myself, but I've just adapted my play-style to adjust. As soon as a red circle forms, GTFO, is what I say. Even the slightest hesitation of .5 seconds will net you some unwanted damage. But that's just me, and while I have adapted to it, there are others out there that are requesting SE to take a hard look at this issue and I can agree with that.

I chalked it up to server latency connecting to Japan from NA. I wasn't aware of it being anything else. You've gone and ruined my day!

Did anyone see how the Market Boards are handling HQ items?

Thanks! I used to post here years ago when I played FFXI. This FFXIV Zam community seems much smaller than I remember the FFXI community being - which I think is good in a way, fewer repeat/rehash/re-argue threads.

I searched the Market Boards a few times, never ran into a HQ item. One thing I was disappointed on - I couldn't figure out how to purchase a single item. It was purchase the whole stack as listed or get nothing, as far as I could tell.

9 second chat screen delay. There was no mention of this being worked on, so I left feedback. If its because the servers are in Canada, then I'm in for a world of hurt.

Glad to see the crafting revisions. I am a bit torn on the adjustment of HQ difficulty. I had thought HQs were surprisingly easy, and it made sense to me that eventually you should be skilled enough to make a HQ item from NQ materials, but I was surprised by how quickly that point came. On one side, it was fun to so easily make HQ items, but on the flip side, that really makes them too common. Looking at it with the fact that we are potentially playing for keeps from here forward, I am glad it is being adjusted. I will refrain from official endorsement until I see how far it is adjusted, however.

I bought a weapon that was HQ from the boards, and a couple of randon crafting mats that I couldn't be bothered chasing after, given it was late in the test. AFAIK both NQ & HQ items popped up in the search - searching for "Brass Ingot" will return all "Brass Ingots" & "Brass Ingots (HQ symbol)". I didn't see a box to check for HQ only results or anything though, but I may well have missed it - didn't spend too much time searching, was just after my mats (too much fun crafting!). Having such an option, for when you are farming out lower-level HQ components would be nice.

Plus all results were sorted in ascending price order by default. I didn't try to flip it around, but I assume it's possible with a mouse click. Of course, the HQ items will be pricier, so at the bottom of these lists.

After announcing this at Japan Expo, we will be having a detailed meeting with the LIGHTNING team, but the general consensus between both teams is that "it shouldn’t just be a simple appearance."
  • Why is Lightning in the world of Eorzea?
  • Why is Lightning fighting in the world of Eorzea?
  • What's the connection between adventurers and Lightning?
  • And what will happen to Lightning after visiting Eorzea?

The story that answers these questions is already being created and it will also be related to the Lightning saga. This is not just a Lightning clone showing up in Eorzea; it is the one and only Lightning. We are also creating a lot of character dialogue for Lightning as well as special cut scenes. We've established a proper story, and I hope you're excited to see it.

So it sounds like Lightning will play a big role after all.

As for the "working as intended" response on the wimpy, lame, ugly summons? Not surprised.

Funny, neither the words "Working" "as" or "Intended" were mentioned.

As far as a Lightning, as I said in other forums. Atomos was unleashed in 1.0 so literally anything can happen. However what I took from that statment wasn't that Lightning is going to be a major character for the main plotline. What I read was that her presence there will be duly justified.

I'm 99.9% sure this is the case. "The sky is falling" syndrome alot of people tend to have gets ridiculous. Lightning in the main story? My gods I'd agree with all the dissent quite a bit, as I'd be quite upset myself. Lightning as a side story/temporary event? No harm done. Bring in all the l'Cie + Serra and Noel if you want, fine by me. Completely optional content is indeed OPTIONAL. They've already said they're going all the way with vanity pets. So I'd expect anything outside the main story.

Wint!

Where is that link to the site (on the Lodestone?) that keeps a list of ALL the issues ever mentioned and what SE is doing about them?
