Yep, they did... ;_;
Most of our gear is obsolete too. AF > Materia items now since the materia was all turned into dust and not tradeable until P4.
Additionally, they nerfed the heck out of Darklight armor and any items like White Ravens that are unobtainable. Really, the only advantage legacy has is levels.
Ok, that makes sense. When I logged onto my legacy I was surprised by the amount of gil I had, as I didn't remember having that much when I quit. I did have a crap ton of crafting mats though, most of which are obsolete now. The gear thing did suck, going through my old gear was painful. I didn't have anything super awesome so I can't imagine how bad it sucks for you guys.
