Blackjack Tools - An organizational tool for Crafting-inclinFollow

#1 Aug 05 2013 at 10:30 AM Rating: Default
Everybody's familiar with the crafting/gathering sections of their forums by now. The seldomly updated threads where crafters beg for mats they rarely receive, the huge long lists of the massively overstocked gatherers that never get perused. It's clunky, hard to navigate, and frustrating.

Well, I've created a site that should hopefully help with that. Blackjack Tools is a database-driven site that was designed to meet the needs of a crafting heavy FC. It allows for crafters to make requests for materials (that clear automatically when they're fulfilled), which helps provide needed direction for the efforts of the FC's gatherers.

Blackjack Tools was designed with large groups in mind. Smaller LS/FC's and individuals may not get as much out of this tool as they'd like.

Please play with the site and share with your FC if you feel it's worthy!

Sorry if I gave off the appearance of malicious spam, but it's exactly what it says on the label.

Yeah, I'm at work too, and we're having system troubles right now. This would be the perfect opportunity lol

Seems ok, but you have to create an account to see anything?

Mostly because this is a database that needs user access. If you're curious what the UI looks like, I've posted a couple screenshots of the main screens up there.
The reason why I have a login at all is to make user names and such like far more automated than I could otherwise.

I'm not sure why you have to create an account to see anything, even before you make a decision about the site. It's not something I would rush to join. Coupled with your new arrival on this forum, just sends up the usual alarms.
However, I wish you luck with your new venture.

Cheers!

I understand. Well, the tool's not going anywhere, and will be there if people decide they need a better solution down the line.

That said, I'm looking at making it so you can browse the crafting, gathering and user pages without needing a login.
