Logging in from a different ISP w/o the use of a security token or the app would be one way.

yeah I got that one earlier too. Probably because I logged in to the account management from work. Maybe the forums too, who knows. I followed the link and changed the password, no problem.

So, is your account really locked?

I know SE is releasing fishing in the latest beta, but I'm sure there are others out there phishing as well.

It looks like the real thing. Exact same wording as the one I got. To be sure, mouse over the links. The second one should start with:

https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/rsmreminder?id=

I removed the part after the ID, but if you mouse over the second link and it does't start with that, it's suspicious.

Oh jeez, I've logged in from my phone at work, my laptop at home, and I linked the account to my ps3. I'm probably going to see this email soon too...

I got an error message when I logged in to the PC client at home. I received the e-mail instantly and was able to change my password, but that was several hours ago. I think there might be a longer delay now.

I received this too because I logged in at work...took a few hours to receive the email after the account locked. I was worried I would be late to the beta but it finally came and unlocked no problem

Even if you have broadband, your IP can still change if your modem burps and needs to reconnect. I've had things like Steam ding me for that, I suppose SE would do the same thing if their security software is set to Paranoia level.
