Carbuncle animations?Follow

#1 Aug 16 2013 at 11:41 AM Rating: Sub-Default
How do you guys feel about them?

To me they look very choppy and sloppy to me. Like, not a lot of effort was put into them.

Carbuncle's idle animation is pretty bad too. Idk why it's sticking its butt out so far. It looks like it's trying to ****. Anyone else annoyed by that?

Also, what's going on with those recolors? The yellow is so lazy looking. I think it was literally recolored in Microsoft Paint or a similar program.

Do you have anything positive to say about, well, anything?
#3REDACTED, Posted: Aug 16 2013 at 11:45 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not about Carbuncle. Its model is already ripped from an old PS2 game from a decade ago. They could have at least spent a couple hours on decent animations.

At least something is cool enough about the game for you to like it enough to play it first day on beta, am I correct?

Sure! You need three computers with three monitors to represent the X, Y, and Z axis. You open paint on each one, then you just tape them together. Smiley: schooled

Ah that makes sense, I was never really good at that artsy stuff.

Personally I wish they just took carbuncle from FFVI and put him in the game, I loved his animations.

They should have just had Carbuncle's ruby change colors, instead of its whole body. The yellow just looks so, so dumpy and bad.

The real issue is the animations though which were better a decade ago with the same model in FFXI.

So when you use the word literally, you are just saying you have no idea what the word means.

I don't mind what I've seen of the animations or even the Topaz version... I'm only a little disappointed that when the info leaked he was originally "Diamond Carbuncle" and I was really looking forward to a shimmering Emma Frost type conversion of the Carby model.

I thought the topic was MS paints ability to do 3d recoloring.

and something to do with the color yellow.

Perhaps even the letters P and K.

with guest star Johnny Depp.

On a separate note, I logged in for a few minutes during lunch on my legacy character...

OMFG there had to have been more Carbys than people.
