I'm just curious if World Transferring will ever be introduced, I made my character on Gilgamesh with the intention of playing with some friends but die to tech difficulties they all started on a different server. Now I realize I can just make a new character there but honestly I've put a but of work into this character already and wouldn't wanna have to start over. So I'm just curious if transferring will be introduced so I can hop over

A lot of work already? We are talking less than 48 hours...

I think Yoshi P said world transfers would be a few months after launch... like 3 or 6 maybe.

And I put in almost 14 hours yesterday alone, I can understand not wanting to repeat that soon.

In the grand scheme, as I'm sure you realize, it's a drop in the bucket. I'd rather reroll on a friend's server and replay the 14 hours than wait for world transfers and probably pay for it.

Edit:
Right now my character's not progressing very much. I'm stuck at level 11 unable to enter the instance to clear my level 10 class quest. Can't progress anywhere, can't level different classes on him :(

Seconded. Now that you've already done it, it'll take you even less time.

Think about what you're requesting for just a moment. You want the option to pay 15-25 bucks(IRL work which isn't fun) to save you a few hours of playing time(in-game work which you might enjoy). Really man, really?

The idea of server transfers is not a bad idea, but it's not really something that should be exercised because you're too lazy to play for a few hours to catch up Smiley: lol

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

Have to agree with filth here. In P3 I did a bunch of GLD and story quests in Ul'dah the first day. Took me about 6 hours. Yesterday, I only had about 3 hours to play before I had to catch a plane. Actually did a bit more than my first day in P3 in half the time. If you're just going to redo the same quests you'll blow through them. Better to reroll now than wait for an unknown period of time.

In time so far I've capped CNJ and ARC and I'm working on Carpentry I realize it's silly not to just reroll but I don't really feel like repeating all of it lol

I'd rather not see players who (post-gil nerf) still have something around 20+ mil gil server jump to a new "fresh" server without such problems, and completely dominate and/or ruin it.

So despite my original character being stuck with on a JP-based server, i dont really want me new character's server to get ruined by the mistakes SE made in the past...

From what I've read, server-class rules would still be in effect after transfers are enabled. So a legacy player would still only be able to transfer to a legacy server.

They said they'd consider easing it up at a later time, but by "later" I assumed Yoshi P meant a year or so.
