Ok so this morning I've been trying to enter my pre-order code mailed to me upon pre-ordering the game via the SE store. For a while there I was getting nothing but "There is a problem. Please try again later.", but just a minute ago after entering it I got this: "There was a problem with your code. Please make sure you have entered it correctly."

I double-checked to make sure I got my code correct (I did), and tried again. I got the same message once again. I only hope this is an error being produced from the overload on the servers, and not something wrong with my code.

Has anyone else trying to enter their code received the same message?

You're fine, the server is over loaded, submit it again and you'll probably get the 1st error again.

If you go to that site, log in, then click on "services and options" and then select "Final Fantasy XIV" it states "Code registration currently unavailable." The error messages are negligible at the moment. SE is supposed to send an e-mail if you went to the site pre-beta 4 and signed up to receive one. This e-mail is supposed to tell you when it is ok to register for pre-order. I have not yet received that e-mail.

Ok, to follow-up. I just looked at my SE profile, and it now says that I have FFXIV as my one registered game. Perhaps on one of those "There was a problem. Please try again later." messages, it actually went through, and just psyched me out.

This is most-likely the cause of the "There was a problem with your code. Please make sure you have entered it correctly." error.

For anyone that has entered your 18-digit code and gotten the error message, go check your SE profile and see if you have FFXIV registered to your account.

That doesn't mean squat unfortunally. Everyone seem's to have it. I had it before entering a code due to owning 1.0 and getting it for free. You'll know once it's accepted because you'll get a much different page with further directions/codes.

Screenshot

It's and email sorry, windows one is almost identical.

ARR registers to your account when you sign up for open beta, or were involved in the previous phases or 1.0.

Are we talking pre-order codes or registration codes? As far as I know, I didn't get an email for my pre-order code.

This is the preorder code entry to gain early access amongst other things. The site to redeem the code is supposed to be working today, and is experiencing technical difficulty.

I am completely confused at this point.

I pre-ordered the PC Collector's Edition back in May, got an order confirmation e-mail which contain the Serial Number/Product Code, which the format is XXXXXX-000-XXXXXX-000.

I have tried the code at http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ but it is stuck in "Working. Please wait." for the past hour.

I have tried at http://na.square-enix.com/us/ but the code is invalid there.

I looked at http://account.square-enix.com/ but it is unavailable.

I still have not received any other e-mail from SE.

I assume the codes I have are just what it says, product codes, not pre-order codes that let's me have early access. Correct?

I assume that I will be expecting an e-mail from SE containing the codes that will let me register at one of these sites some time before the 24th, correct?

Server is overloaded currently, give it time to ease up. The pre order link (1st one) is the correct one. It'll work, give it time, it's not Saturday yet, 3 days 18 hours to get it entered...

This is pretty much where I am at. I read back about 2 weeks ago or so that production registration codes were going to be mailed out on the ~20th and applying said code to your account in order to be able to play would also open up around then as well. That said, I got an email about a week after I pre-ordered saying something like "We apologize, but we are aware you did not receive your pre-order bonus code when you ordered. Here is the code: XXXXXX-###-XXXXXX-###." Only that code has no home to go to. Going to the players site which is not official just says the code has already been redeemed/used. The official site has been closed till (today?) now so I haven't tried it. I also read the official product code is supposedly a 20 character/digit code which I still have not received. It is concerning, however, I was in P3 and P4 so SE knows my account and knows what I have on it, so hopefully it is just a simple matter of patience for the email to get here. If it doesn't and I can't get EAccess because of this, I will have to write a stern letter to my congressman and to SE and snail mail it for greater effect. :D

Early access code is 18 characters (And rumor is they are all the same Smiley: dubious ) After you manage to get it entered on a overloaded website, you'll receive a 20 digit code via email registered to that account that you have to enter on PC the first time you log in, and on PS3 in the marketplace I believe to let you access the EA client.

I am trying to tell myself that I am just being impatient, like everyone else that's trying and getting errors. But I think I just have to accept the fact that I am impatient and throwing a tantrum cause my code doesn't work. Smiley: mad

I haven't even tried to imput my code yet and it is showing that I have FFXIV registered. It got registered when I started P4 the first time and you have to choose a service.

I can attest to the fact that they are not all the same since I pre-ordered for both me and my partner and got 2 different 18 digit codes.

Edit: typos

I finally managed to get my PC pre-order code entered. I've been trying since this morning. I was always getting the two error messages ('There is a problem...' and 'There was a problem with your code...' both) and my account even showed that it was registered. I still kept at it, though, and it just now went through and gave me the 20-digit code. So for those of you who have accounts that show the game as registered even if you keep getting the error message, keep trying to submit it. It WILL eventually go through and you'll get your 20-digit code for PC (or the PSN code for the PS3).

Smiley: smile You are most certainly very welcome! I was SO relieved when it finally went through. If I can help alleviate anyone's concerns with this, then I am glad. Like I said, just keep trying. Even if your account shows it is registered, keep trying until you get that 20-digit code for PC or the PSN code for PS3.
