prolly been asked but i got no pre-order code when i bought the game yesterday am i auto-in early access?
I also bought via PSN and I'm having the same doubts. However, If you check your "List of Services" options on yout PS3 (on the XMB bar go to Account Management-Transactions Administrator-List of Services) you'll see that you have Open Beta, Early Access and Standard Edition Pack available, so my assumption is that you have automatic pass into EA.
Its in the theme based download worth about 10mb of memory that comes when you buy the game.

Yeah you are automatically in, My friend was wondering the same thing, Found out in the end.
Yes, buying any of the digital downloads through PSN will give you automatic early access, no codes required. It says as much when you're getting ready to make your purchase.
1. Go to Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
2. Find and open FFXIV: ARR in the list.
3. Verify your Early Access and Standard or Collector's Edition package is present.

Am I the only one who has no such thing as a service list in their PSN account? I do see early play in the transaction history under the game purchase though.

6:03pm dst and still getting Error 3. Tried 4 times.
I'm so confused. Is this right?
So, let me understand this. I got an early access code from Gamestop, and then I have to take THAT code and register it, and then they send me ANOTHER code, and then I have to take THAT code and go to my ps store to redeem it?
1) go to preorder website: ex.: http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/
2) enter the code that you received when you preordered the game (like Gamestop receipt)
3) get an email confirmation from SE saying they got the code that (ex. Gamestop) gave you and then...
4) get another code from SE in that email and then..
5) go to PS store to redeem SE code section that they sent to us in the email and then
6) enter the SE code that was sent in that email then...
7) download the client software or update the client software.
Really? all that? or am I missing something important?

I'm pretty sure the code they'll send you is to download the same client you already have on your PS3 from phase 4, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

i did get a EA code from gamestop and was wondering the steps to putting in my code considering i didnt buy it from PSN like others... playing on ps3 and the website to sign up only says to go to the psn store... just a lil confused is all.
