A work in progress, have the layout and basic colors in but still working in sessions on adding detail. Background soon to come to tie the whole thing together. I wish I could crop out my gross feet in a couple of those but o well lol.

That's some nice work!

Time for me to show off my true Final Fantasy fandom. I present to you my Bahamut Tattoo:

Currently drawing Leviathan for my lower arm, and I intend to have the inside of my arm filled in with Chocobo's, a Black Mage and tonberries... among other things.

Great tattoo! Love the coloring of it. So you're basically going to have a full sleeve of Final Fantasy. I see absolutely no problems with that. Some day I will get my Tolkein backpiece of the Gates of Moria, complete with Watcher in the Water, and full fellowship.

Yup, that's the idea haha :P

I also love the colours, and the detail. The artist who did it is amazing. He works slowly, but the quality is incredible. The Bahamut tattoo took about 26 hours in total. I'm getting him to do the entire sleeve, so should be fun haha.

Holy crap! That's a long time to get tattooed! How many sessions was that? Here's my first tattoo I got on the other arm. This one was two 4-hour sessions to get finished. Different artist who definitely took a lot longer. At some point, I'm going to go back to the guy I just had make the new one and have him touch up the first one; I love it but I'd really like the bottom to look more like flames and have a bit more depth to it.

This one I don't really like, but I'm not a tattoo person.

I guess this just looks a little too... busy?

Great tattoo, BartelX. I have to ask, though: is the "background" intentional, or bruising from the procedure? I'd like to think its intentional, but I've seen some pretty nasty bruising that could look like that. lol

Either way, it makes it look all the more detailed...

Hmm... I just took pics of my tats and sent them to my email via phone. Made an Imgur account. Then went to make a "new folder" on my desktop and the button to do so isn't there from my right click. The 'new" button was but there wasn't an option for "new folder" (weird-ed me out and at first) Then i was like ***** it I'll just file save as to a different folder. I hit file on the top left.. wait for it... booooooom!!! there wasn't a "save as" or "save" button anywhere to be found! Is my POS laptop about fried or whats going on with this mess? I'd like to share my SE tats for the enjoyment of all but i guess my comp's not going to let me until i get to work and am able to save them in a folder there. Unless any of you know of a nifty trick that might help...

It's actually a part of the tattoo. I initially was looking to have some mountains in the background, but he thought it might detract from the figure itself, and I agreed, so we went with the light, cloudy texture. The bruising will probably come later.

Kinda figured as much. It seemed too deliberate to be bruising.

I only asked, 'cause my ex got a couple of smaller tattoos, but she bruised like a tomato very shortly afterwards, and looked pretty much like that. Congrats on the killer ink, though!

Thanks, I was pretty blown away when I saw the finished product. I honestly couldn't be happier, he did a tremendous job.

Just wondering if that is a specific character, or generic, as my first thought when I saw it was Roland from the Dark Tower series.

You are correct. It was going to have the text "There are other worlds than these" around it, but the artist didn't think it would look great since I have weak, tiny gamer arms. Smiley: tongue

Dang looks like John Marston from Red Dead Redemption. That storyline... Smiley: cry
