I don't think I have a goal. I just want to go with the flow and see what happens

That's always been my strategy in life. I'm not quite sure whether it's working or not yet. Smiley: jester

I just want to have a fun journey to endgame. I didn't try my hand at crafting during beta so I want to delve into that and also do a lot more dungeon runs.

I can't really select anything. My goals are simple, though, and true with every MMO I play, especially this one and Guild Wars 2. Quite simply, my goals are to have fun, help people wherever and however I can, and to enjoy the experience and the story to the fullest extent possible. If it takes me awhile to reach endgame, then so be it. If it takes very little time, then so be it. I just want to have fun. Smiley: lol Smiley: smile

That...is my goal in this game. Smiley: smile

Well, like many others, my main goal is to just enjoy the game and have fun. I'd like to be able to level many classes/jobs, and explore every inch of Eorzea.

My personal/selfish goal...is to get the three Miqo'te dancers in Ul'Dah to follow me around wherever I go... Smiley: nod

None of the above. I'm playing because life long friends I've made from XI are playing XIV and hoping the same level fun that was had then with them can be had again.

My goal is simple "have fun."

By what means I get there is arbitrary.

To continuously post negative threads about the game on various forums even though I still have an active subscription, all expansion packs, top endgame armor, and have been playing for years.

Although I was never a huge Star Trek fan, that opening sequence always gave me the chills. It was so well written and Picard's voice was so perfect for it.

Picard's voice is perfect for anything.

Hey Patrick Stewart, will you please order my tea for me? (What kind of tea, anyone?)

Oh yeah, my goal is to level up. I just enjoy it when numbers get bigger.

Man, I know this is off-topic (sorry!), but reading that reminds me so much of a guy I grouped with in EQOA.

I was tanking, and this guy was playing a Wizard. I'd pull a mob, and he'd immediately cast his strongest spell. Then, he'd cast it again. After those two casts, he'd tell the group he was "out of mana", and he remained so for the next three fights. My friend 'n I finally stopped and asked him why he keeps using the strongest spell if it wipes out his mana so fast...his response? "Because I like to see big numbers!". Facepalming ensued.

More on-topic, I can agree with wanting to get further along in level, to see more 'n more of the game...

No Social/Companionship or RP option?

Literally nothing about immuring yourself in the world at all?
No mention of the storyline... or collectables, or chocobo raising or achievement hunting...

WTF options are these, man!?

Level ALL classes to max and learn them so that i can fill any void needed.
End Game
lots of my friends and family play so for communication among those i never get to physically see anymore.
my crafting will come at a much later day i do believe (i feel this is a bad decision but it is what it is)
and most of all to enjoy myself and have a good time meeting new gamers like myself!

Steel is strong, flesh is stronger...according to James Earl Jones anyway

You left out the part about sleeping with the green chicks.

And for myself I have to say crafting. I'd for once like to play havoc with server economy. Raise and lower things on a whim just to randomly throw everyone else off. Plus I just enjoy the crafting here.

Ahem. "All the power of both steel and flesh come from one's beliefs."

I think people are still reeling over the fact that there is now more to do in the game than attack stuff, craft stuff, or gather stuff...

This game is so different from the first release that people are now complaining about the fact that there may be issues logging in because of the server volume... Could you imagine having login issues with 1.0 because there were too many people trying to play?

There are like quests, and real dungeons, and people talking, and hanging out. There are houses, and Companies, and NPCs that actually say stuff that is funny on purpose. There are ferries and airships. There is weather and unique terrian, and jumping and falling. There are moogles (ok the moogles that are trying to kill you are MIA again...). There are primals, and Artifacts, and Jobs, and F.A.T.E.s.

There are Couerl, Chcocbo, Goobbue, and Unicorn mounts (ok, two of those are restricted mounts...).

There is even an option to have your chocobo fight with you... And I have heard rumor that Fat Chocobo may even be around.

Lightning is coming, and other FF classicis *may* make an appearance.

And lets not forget the everloving race to Jueno style route from Ul'dah to Ishguard worthy of any level 1 challenge. Personally I wish they would have made that an achievement.

There is actually a learning curve, and my god are there minions... I never thought I would be a pet herder/hoarder... BUT I WANTS THEM!!!
