This is my opinion as well. F2P ruins chat channels, communities, and the general tone of the game. The player base of F2P games has been, in my experience, universally obnoxious.

I would probably stop, too. F2P just makes me feel like I don't even have the actual game, and that I'm constantly missing out on something and not getting the full experience. I'd much rather skip one night of take out per month and pay a subscription than feel like I'm "sort of" playing a game.

World of Warcraft. Ten years in, still a subscription model and still has the largest player base. Now, arguing what defines 'great' is subjective. However, in the grand scheme of things WoW is still the granddaddy of them all and isn't free to play.

Furthermore, if you want to play a F2P, there's plenty of options out there you can chose from.

I can play by creating diff characters in diff worlds that are active. Great intro stories too :) Anyone know a way to port them to the same server as me main? (once its working of course ;))
