Thanks for this.

As a 1.0 (non legacy) I was able to log into the "lobby" see my character, click on my world and get the 1017 error (world is full).

I don't have time to play so it's not a big deal to me, but just not being able to queue seems like a pretty big misplay.

Glad it helped. I posted this and then StateAlchemist made a more thorough post with more info. Gonna update the OP with a link to his just in case.

Which website are you trying to do this on? There are like 3 different websites you can log into so I'd need to know which one you are on.

If you have already registered for 1.0 then your account should be active and all you should need to do is download the client, update it and login to play.

i'm using the mog station website, when i log in it says that my account is inactive, do you think its because the game isn't released until 5am eastern?

I'm not certain, but I think it should be active as of JP launch. They basically just cleared all previous 1.0 accounts to play free until Sept 9th I believe. When did you register version 1.0?

i registered the codes back when i first got the game like 2 years ago when it was released, in the account management syystem it says the game is registered but im only worried that it is registered because of the open beta when i tried it

edit: if i try to add the codes in again in the mog station it says "code already registered"

If you registered back then, it will automatically get processed. SE just adds time to everyone's account to play up through the 9th of September. The mog station is giving you that error because you already registered the game, that's why you have a service account.

Can you take a screenshot of what the page looks like?

Sounds like a strange issue. My only guess is that you're not logging into the account you created way back when or there's some other technical issue. Contact SE Support Center later today and see if they can't help you out with it. I don't think it's anything I can walk you through.

http://support.na.square-enix.com/

Click FFXIV icon and fill out the form with all the necessary information.

Also, if you don't mind coming back to let me know exactly what happened I would appreciate it. Makes it easier to help other people out when they're having issues like yours.

That looks like it basically says you don't own FFXIV and need to buy a Windows or PS3 copy of the game.

Yeah, whatever account you linked your 1.0 version to... the picture is not it. What you show here is a Square Enix ID with no service account for FFXIV linked to it.

yeah but look at this..

http://s1017.photobucket.com/user/renniealexander24/media/reg2_zps9e4959e2.jpg.html

unless i used another email address which i doubt very much that i did.this is the account i used to register 1.0 when i bought it in 2010,don't know why it shows up as July 1,2013..around the time of beta phase 3.

i already contacted customer support, no response,im constantly checking to ensure that its not a problem with the account servers.maybe when they patch again, because prior to the last patch a couple days ago i wasn't even seeing the character i made during beta phase 4

i think you were right all along,i probably created the account with an old email account that i've been locked out of for over a year,i've only just now tried to get back into it and it seems as thought squareenix recognises that one
