I can't for the life of me figure out how in this convoluted Squeenix Account Management System to set up a recurring monthly subscription. Please help me. No other MMO company employs such a bewildering labyrinth of menus and broken English.

Login to the website you linked.
Click this button.
Select the type of subscription, the length and the payment type. Fill out forms with appropriate information. The subscription should automatically be set for recurring, but you can check it by going back to the first screen you see after you login.
Also, if you mouse-over the button that says 'Square Enix Account Settings' there is an option to register a payment method. You can save your payment for future reference there.

I do not have that button. I have only the option to add a platform. I don't have that or the one that looks like a present.

You need to be on the top page, not the account page to see that button.
Ok, I got it now.
Here's what happened. I was under the impression that the NAAU 20 digit code was the only 20 digit code I would need. I checked my email and there was a new email from Square with another 20 digit code in it. I input the code, and now I'm set. Thanks for the help.

It's hard to tell what's going on without seeing what you see which is why I linked the image. The fact that you didn't have options you should have made me think you weren't registered, but I'm glad you got it worked out

Interesting, my MogStation shows I have no Characters, under that Character window...yet I log in and use my 1.0 character.

It's a known issue. Not sure if it shows up if you pay because I haven't subbed yet. Still not sure if I will.

Ugh... I only received my 20 preorder code so far. Nothing about a new code. Looks like I'll be filing a ticket with them... again.
I'm a 1.0 CE member, also pre-ordered SE to get early access. Do we have to sub now? Not sure if i want to until i know they have a better handle on the server problem.

I simply plan to wait until the 2 weeks free trial is over. Should be fine by then.

September 9th is the earliest you'd have to start a subscription if you are a carry over from 1.0 version. It's 30 days for new players, but I'm not sure if it's from today or from the time you register. Pre-order lasts through Thursday so if you held off on registration until before you login this weekend you might be able to squeeze out a few days free.

You mean like being able to log in and play? Sorry I'm still a little bit butt-hurt from trying to get on the server for 4 hours last night.
Me and the better-half are waiting to sub, we're both 1.0 players and she is legacy (dunno how she is and i'm not but eh). We both want to play the game badly but even she is getting frustrated now. I was able to get on yesterday after work after a few attempts. She on the other hand was not able to get on until 11:30pm EST, which by that time i'm already in bed as i have to get up at 5 am for work. So, yea she is very upset that we can't play together due to server issues.
EDIT: I was looking to get both of us the 180 day sub for the mounts, she wants the floating eye so badly, but after seeing the past few day, we are not feeling very secure in that sub amount anymore, only time will tell.

Yeppers. I did the 18 character dance, got my 20 character pre-order code, it shows on the service account in the mogstation. Never got another 20 character code after that and only have the add service button at the bottom. See pic.
