BRING BACK THE QUE!!!!!@!!!!!!!!!Follow

#1 Aug 27 2013 at 7:48 PM Rating: Decent
My god can they not at least have a que now that we are in full launch? Even if it shows me 200th in line I at least don't have to keep randomly clicking for hours. And implement an AFK timeout. How the hell isnt there one anyway?

I took flames for complaints during early access and now I will likely get the "its launch day" trolls but seriously wth?

If there was ever a legitimate reason for a BOT this is it

There's a queue, it is just also over capacity so it doesn't work once its limit is reached.

If you can log in stay in is your best bet there is no law saying you have to log off and if you do thats a very good chance your not going to get back on as anyone else can do the same(and no doubt will be doing it)

We all want this. Nobody wants the game to have fatal flaws... SE needs to fix them.

You can't blame players for doing this if SE is basically making them do it if they want to play.

The way I look at it, I couldn't log in at all all day yesterday because I did log out. Now I'm going to stay logged in today so I get a turn to play the game. I'll likely log out tonight to pay it forward.

That's just how it's gotta be until they get these new servers up next week.

Put the stick down and go for a walk. Does this rant make your day? On a side note: I just got logged in, sat in a QUE, and now running around.

Some of you people here are sad. You are the type who calls the police because McDonalds didn't get your order right.

There is a queue, but with the way the server limitations are working this is the general jist of what I have discovered through personal experience.

They cap the number of people on a server (eg 4k, no idea of the exact number).
Any time one person logs off, another can log in (no queue)
Now say a group of 40 people trying to get into instances all crash because the instance servers are at capacity, those 40 are dropped.
Now 40 people can log on, and #35-40 might see a queue of 1-5 people.

The only way to see a queue larger than that is when the server ISNT at its current capacity. EG at Early access, i saw a queue for 600-800 people (granted it only lasted 5 minutes tops). This is because SE made the queue system so that logins happen 1 batch at a time (no idea on batch side, probably 100 people, which is why the queue goes from 861 to 401 in 2 minutes).

If you have 100,000 people connected to a single "server", that might mean (assuming avg 6 hour logins) about 5 people logging in and out a second. That's why queues process quickly. (Guess is probably on the upper side of the right order of magnitude).

The real reason you see weird queue behaviors is because chargenners generally succeed at entering at the head of the queue, I suspect.
