There is a cutscene skip option Its "O + X" on my controller.

Yeah, that only skips some. There are others, mainly extended animation sequences in quests, that are intolerably long and can't be skipped.

Again, this seems ironic to me because SE's calling card is their ability to tell a good story. If you want to mash your way through or even skip the story, why are you playing? I can understand the lame xp side quests, but I've really enjoyed the main story line quests so far. Your major complaint was having to watch the airship cutscene, which I thought was excellent. Agree to disagree I suppose, but if you dislike the story, why play a Final Fantasy game?

It's not just FF.. I find pretty much all the writing in computer games ranging from mediocre to simply awful.

I think game developers should focus on the actual game aspects and leave storytelling to authors, video to Hollywood.

But everyone thinks they're an "artist" nowadays...

Yeah I want to see all this stuff plus a city like Jeuno where all the players can congregate in a neutral place.

I would like to see the obvious addition of new classes, like the Ninja or Samurai. Machinist would be a cool class for the firearms. More tank classes would be a plus.

Would Samurai be a good tank class? If I remember, in Tactics they could take a pretty good beating. Were they in FFXI, and if so, which role did they play?

I really like the idea of Chocobo racing and battling, that would be a welcome feature.

Really, I feel like this game has an endless amount of cool FF history to pool from. I would welcome almost any fight against any Primal or any boss's from any of the previous FF games (within reason) . Weapons would be very cool to fight. If we get to fight a weapon, or maybe even Deathgaze or something while riding on an airship, I would be very excited. Or maybe a fight against Leviathan while on a ship.

I think this game should avoid flying mounts. I don't think it would really benefit the world very well.

The nation leaders are already a good indication of what is to come job wise.

The Ul'Dah leader looks like he's dressed in some sort of Berserker outfit, Dual Wielding really big swords.

The Limsa Admiral has a double-barreled Pistol at her side, most likely a Corsair of sorts.

I'm not entirely sure what kind of a mage the Gridania Leader is, but she did erect massive barriers in a cutscene. Something along the line of a Sage.

We saw in the ending of 1.0 introducting A Realm Reborn's "movie" that Lousioux (sp?), the old man from Gridania who is no long there, definitely posesses Time Magic of some sorts.

There's also a guy on the steps of Ul'Dah who is most likely a Gladiator, but his color theme bares a high resemblance to a mash-up of the blue mage armor sets from XI.

But that's all irrelevant to what i want. What i really want to see in the first expansion is my Cities being One zone again. I've seen area's right now in 2.0 that are ten times the size of what Limsa is. I hate how it's split up into two zones.

Probably never going to happen but I would like to see a Ninja/Thief/Chemist hybrid.

Does both average DPS and minor DoT via various poison spells.

I want to see native only shadow spells that allow the absorption of both single target spells and physical damage like in XI but on a decently long timer as to avoid it's abuse. I want to be able to stack these shadows with the max amount giving me the ability to dodge even AoE spells, say 3/3 shadows.

Can cure minor statuses and has average healing abilities.

Think white mage that can dish out some decent damage and toss out some decent healing spells as well with better survivability than a whm.

Lastly, treasure hunter that affects loot drops from both monsters and treasure chests/coffers because the job might not be able to dish out massive damage or huge healing spells but damn that treasure hunter is sexy.

I'd like to see areas/zones that hearken back to old school FFs.

I'd love to see a submarine as a method of transport to get to sunken caves (FF3)... or underwater Garlean bases (think FF7).

I'd also love to see a trip to the moon at some point, a la FFIV.

I think it would be really awesome if we could actually enter the Void at some point, so it would be like the ending of FFV or even FF Dimensions. Maybe base a few raids in it. The Void could be like the new Sea.
