Still going on... though seems from reading the threads, it is getting a tad bit easier to get on. TAD

I think it depends on the server.

I was on Sargatanas last night and had no problem logging off and back on around 9:45pm EST

Usually that would have made it time to go to bed.

During the weekdays. On the weekend...who's to say how bad it will be? I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but if you are prepared for the worst then your disappointment will be lessened. Thankfully they said beginning of next week is when we'll start to see improvements.

I think that does have something to do with it; neither my two XIV buddies nor I, on the Goblin server, have had to spam the login button for more than 15 minutes on any day. Not even during prime time. It may just be blessed luck on our side, especially considering all servers are full. Maybe it is a time zone thing of the population of my server. I don't know.

That could be... keep in mind that EU prime time is while most Americans are at work...

Since the official release, I have not had to wait more than ten minutes to log-on. I'd say its getting better, but still around. I have noticed that I've been getting into queues much fast since Monday too.

I've been trying to log in to Malboro for 45 minutes and keep getting 1017. I'm giving up.

I wonder if a lot of the anger on this particular forum is due to the fact that so many people rolled on Ultros. I've had a few problems, but never more than 15 min to get in on Siren.

Keep in mind that 1017 isn't the issue, it's the bandaid.

1017 is a manual lockout on Logins - it's Square Enix stopping you at the gate telling you they've stopped the queue because the server and queuing is too full.

This in turn is to try to stem the tide of other errors such as 90k and similar works from flooding the game due to the game busting at the seams due to overpopulations and specific bottle-necks in the instance and transfer servers.

Granted, it's more like blocking gangrenous wounds by amputating your leg. But it's temporary. (If frustrating.)

Diabolos is still very much getting this error each and every day from 11 AM to 3 AM. If you don't log in from 3 AM - 11 AM you will most likely not have much luck getting on.

This is the first time on Migard that I've had to do this for more than 15 minutes to log in.

I was in game, got a 90000, then have been at it for the past hour and a half trying to get back in..

I have this sickening feeling that players are going to have to make some pretty hard choices in the future, once these new servers kick in.

Even if we do alleviate the strain on the Duty Finder servers, there's still the matter of the 5k concurrent user cap placed upon each individual game world.

This means people are going to have to move, and likely re-roll in some cases. I do hope Yoshida take that into account and offer some free transfers off of existing worlds. But in doing so, they may want to accommodate for the crowded Legacy Servers by creating at least one additional Legacy Server for those players to transfer to. A lot of the congestion on those worlds are due to the server merges earlier in the 1.0 version.

On the other hand, I still find it odd that I've yet to be locked out for a full night.

Are they seriously only letting 5k in at a time? I thought this was an mmo not a lobby game like halo.

Well how else can I express shock that in 2013 a mmo cant have more than 5k on a server?

This makes sense. It explains how I can go from 1017, to logging in on next try without a queue. Either this is true, or the unthinkable has been happening far too often and enough people decide to log out, in the same second, allowing the whole queue in AND me waiting in the ranks.

With: Honesty, integrity, and an explanation of why, in fact, you are shocked - so that replies can be respectful in turn. Also an open willingness to learn more and realize that perhaps your initial perspective is made from ignorance.

Without: Thinly veiled insults, the intentional use of hyperbole, feigned knowledge of topic.

Going on hour 3 mashing start so not sure who is claiming 1017 are occurring less?
#25 Aug 29 2013 at 6:28 PM Rating: Default
the people that get in claim its happening less, the people that havent really expereienced are claming its happening less, the people that spend 5-20 minutes trying to log in, and evenaully do, are claiming its happening less and less.

in my given situation, i was trying for a couple hours then got placed into a que that said 130. so naturally i imagined 130 pepole sitting at their house just for my server, at the exact same time as me trying to log on and cant. Then you stretch it, and imagine what it was like 2 hours ago, and what it will be like 2 hours from now.

so after all this i click click lick and get into a que again. this time 170.. so the numbers increasing as the hours get closer to every school kid being home in the us. And every adult being home from work, provided they work the subpar standard of 8--4 9-5 yadda yadda. so i quit trying to get on.. I give up on SE tonight. I will go kill some people in lol for the next 8 hours. The great thing about lol is they have 32million accounts and dont have problems like this. I can only think what riot thinks about problems that yoshi claims to be having with the 350k users... 350k users... its so insignificant in the modern gaming era.
