To the people saying they have no problems with framerate: you're lying or you just can't recognize low FPS.

I have played the PS3 version and the framerate is pretty low. I would say that the FATEs are unplayable (in my opinion). I mean, I certainly wouldn't want to FATE grind on a PS3. That would be hell.

I would recommend playing the PC version, even if you can't play the game on max. If you really want to play on a console I would definitely wait for the PS4 version.

Killua, and it my bit cause I am drunk but go suck a donkey please.

Why are you saying that? The PS3 version sucks compared to the PC one, and big FATEs are pretty much unplayable like I said. Sorry that the truth upsets you...?

i'm having no issues with frame rate, ore lag even in fates. I play with ps3 slim on an old SDtv in my bedroom. The router is in my brothers room right across the room from me.

And before ppl assume i'm lying... I took media production, computer aided drafting and graphic arts in high school my eyes are trained ti register frame rates and shutter speed, to get the most of the work i needed to do.

I have all spell effects off... not just cause of fps but cause it feels like an mmo rave. I also have names off of non-pt members and most HP bars that appear over-head of pc, npcs, and mobs... I find that if you 'clean' it up a bit it works better... I was even debating losing enemy names unless targeted to clean it up a bit as well... Obviously, it is way better on a decent machine but its fine on ps3...

How do you know if your PS3 is in DMZ. I ran the test after changing the IP address and it works. I didn't need to do the other steps after it

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the performance. It's a quality product on ps3, I just wished they could have squeezed a few more frames out of it. Heck demons and dark souls were way worse and those are my 2 favorite games this gen.

I haven't noticed a lower frame rate in large fights in the PS3, but there is a trick they use to mitigate the load: the animations of those around you become less detailed, such as choppiness when observing a bird flapping it's wings, or people running like they were Cactuars. So it may look like you're losing frames because of that effect, but your own character remains fluid.

Wait, that occurs only on ps3? Time to double my efforts to buy a laptop and upgrade to pc version.

As far as frame rate goes its definitely not that bad on ps3 most of the time to the point that it usually runs very well. That being said you will incur slowdown or a somewhat noticeable fps drop if there are a lot of people around spamming spells.

I experienced some of the issues in this thread last night. It is playable but annoying at times. Still picked up my copy this morning. Looking forward to an enhanced PS4 version.

If you put you ps3 IP address in the DMZ option in you routers control panel, saved it and your ps3 is online, then you're good to go Smiley: nod

I don't think it's been mentioned, but before messing with DMZ settings, I'd plug in an ethernet cable instead of using wifi. In many cases wifi isn't as stable and it can be an improvement to use a cable.

Personally I have no issue on PS3 except for some very minor occasional lag that doesn't affect gameplay at all. I've never had any issue participating in any FATE, or any type of content. Except logging in.
