Even if you boot every afker your still not going to have enough slots for everyone to get on the only way thats fair is to boot everyone after 3 hours afk or not and not able to log in for 24 hours then everyone will be up in arms but everyone get a fair shot at it

Bottom line is, it's time spent working on something that doesn't actually fix the issue. Why would you spend time working on a temporary fix when you're already aware of how to solve the issue? It's like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound when you know it's going to require stitches.

Why? Simple.

So you don't have large swaths of your player base unable to play for days on end while you figure out something that should have been abundantly clear from the get go.

That's why.

Except you still would, because people would still be trying to log in, still be swamped servers. The only difference is that _you_ might have a better chance to be one that is in playing, instead of Mr AFK#170 who logged in at 3am and is now playing at the time you want to play.

I understand full well what's going on.

Hundreds if not thousands of slots eaten up by AFK.

And then to say it isn't in issue is laughable at best.

You only think they were all AFK cause they weren't doing anything directly visible. I've sat in Quicksand on the chairs by the tables and just talked on my Linkshell for an hour.

Also, if it takes you 30 minutes to go to the bathroom, perhaps you should stop playing and go see a doctor.

Hmmm... maybe I need to find a new favorite Mexican restaurant around here, because a few hours after partaking in amazing (but not really authentic) Mexican I'm ready to sit until my thighs go numb.

Some more hairy individuals have to spent a great deal of time cleaning themselves afterward.

Luckily for them razorblades, beard-trimmers, and other body hair removal supplies are a thing.

I tend to keep sharp objects away from that area of my body.

Not sure if this post will see the light of day since I've been rated into oblivion.

You all make excellent points. But the only real point is this:

Those who stay logged into the game just to avoid the 1017, are selfish and lames as hell.

Do I blame you? No. But at least acknowledge your being selfish, and kind of a prick. And justifying your deeds make you no better than the complainers on ZAM.

Confess to your ratchet behavior and feel better about yourselves.

You can go afk yourself problem solved or are getting all bent out of shape as you cant ?
Even if there was no afkers you would not be able to get on as demand is more than the server can take (SE have so)go afk keep you place on the server and if you cant stop going on about people who can.

We are all in the same boat.

I should have stayed logged in all weekend much harder than I did, just to spite this thread.

But seriously, apart from Saturday night when I was, you know, sleeping. I didn't feel at all guilty not logging out to go to the shops, play hockey, etc. The hours I lost on the weekend from 9000 errors and etc. kind of make up for it IMHO. (oh and waiting an hour and a half for duty finder while ******* around with other suff).

Bring on the server fixes!

Make up for what? You realize that by staying logged in you didn't ***** SE out of anything, just other people like you who were getting the same errors. Why do they call it 'common sense' when it's really not all that common? Smiley: oyvey

Ha, why would I care about ******** SE, if anything I'd like to personally thank them for making such a great game that I feel compelled to stay logged in all weekend.

Important to note that I lost plenty of time yesterday with 90000 errors (during instances of course, which I had to repeat) and not being able to log back in for several hours. I had to spam to get back in just like everyone else.

Honestly, at the moment, get in while you can and stay there for as long as you can (or until you get 90000). I don't begrudge anyone else doing the same thing.

Oh crap really I had one after the ifrit fight today,,,,, I had it after hitting the exit,,. I was hoping I would not have to do it over,
Which means the 9000 errors are not fixed during instances either even though they claimed they were..

90000 is just a server disconnect error. As long as the servers exist, and you can be disconnected from them, the 90000 error will exist.

What they fixed was the instability in the Duty server that caused you to get a 90000 error because the server thought you were already in a Duty and refused to let you in another.
