Anyone know? It says I have free time available still and wont charge me, however I know some people have got around this - possibly new game purchasers only?

I haven't been asked to pay for a subscription yet either. Is there any pressing reason you want to set it up now? I suspect the easiest way would be to login to their website and buy "crysta" points there, which they seem to indicate can be used to pay the game's subscription fee.

I'd imagine he wants the veteran rewards now rather than in 37 days when he finally gets charged for the time.

This - there are subscription based rewards you earn, you can find them through the Mog Station on the Lodestone. It's a win win for me - not only are there prizes but I'm willing to fork up my subscription fee because they have earned it.

i was told if you buy the game cards and and redeem them you get the rewards automatically which is why you can see SOME ppl with them already

Duo, you're thinking of the pre-order rewards. You can buy a gamecard or simply set up your subscription info to redeem them. However, those are not the veteran awards being discussed. Does veteran time begin counting when they charge you or when you subscribe...that's the important question here. I would be willing to bet that if you set up your subscription info you are g2g.

When you subscribe.

So if you sign up for 30 days, then you get the 30 day reward. If you sign up for 30 days, and play for 90 days (renewing your sub of course) then you get the 90 day reward. If you sign up for 90 days now, then you get the 90 day reward right away, and any subsequent rewards when they come out with them (assuming you continue to be subscribed and all that).

No, it does depend on the method you use to pay.

If you paid with a game card it gets deducted right away. If you use crysta then your payment processes when your time runs out, not when you added the crysta. Game time cards force the system to update your total time remaining so even though you aren't using the time yet, it's already added.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

My CC payment will not be processed until my free time has passed. I logged into the Mog Station and the clicked to take me to the billing (back to the original square-enix account management) and it shows that September 10 will be my first billing for 180 days.

Sorry, I meant to say game cards instead of credit cards. The bonuses for veteran status are not applied until the time is applied to your account.

Just for the record, linking CC info to the account applies the same way crysta does. You get billed when your current time runs out.

Not sure where they're available from because I'm not looking to sub, but they look like this.

Inb4 we find out they cost more than subbing normally with a credit card or crysta Smiley: dubious

They said they come in 30$ so thats 2 months game time for any non legacy 8char per server. Not sure what happens if your legacy or chose the cheaper monthy.

We will get ventren rewards when they charge us.. and they will only do that when the free time is over. If they add 7 more days than we ahve to wait 7 more days.

I realized to my chagrin that I essentially screwed myself by ADDING an extra free 30 days to my 14 days Veteran access, when I bought/added the PS3 version. Oh well. Do we know exactly what the rewards will be?

Yes, they list them on the website. A few little things, first reward includes an item that will let you change your race and appearance, the last one listed a floating eye minion and mount.
