I'm rocking this via HDMI out to a Sony Receiver and a 55" LG LED TV with trumotion and in 1080p. Now that Square enabled resizing of nearly every UI component I can read everything and the game looks amazing. Not to mention the soundtrack coming through the stereo with the 5.1 ambient/battle effects sounds amazing.

It's funny, it's a little nauseating at first until you get used to it Smiley: laugh

I think that's the biggest benefit to this setup, I have lots of room for UI stuff now. I'll post another pic when I get things sorted.

Well I'm also a minimalist when it comes to that. I typically hate MMOs and a lot of that has to do with the UI. I have all names turned off unless targeted (npcs, mobs, etc.). I only have the cross hotbar, EXP/Health bar, Duty list, minimap, chat and ...that's about it. My UI looks super clean. Pic coming...

I have a similar setup...

But right now my 3 20" ASUS monitors are sitting on the side. I have a 24 I've been using because I'm playing Path of Exile too. Just works better for me. Plus my 20's are only 1680x1050. Wish I could afford 2 more 24's at least. But the deskspace is kinda nice to have again lol. Oh, and I'm running 2x GTX570's, everything turned up on FFXiV no graphic lag at all.

Anyone wanna buy 3 monitors so I can put towards some bigger ones? lol

Did you take the pictures in the dark just to showcase the images without glare? Playing in the dark like that can't be all that good for your eyesight.

I like the little laptop hiding off in the corner.

Now we know how Wint monitors the forums. Nothing's going to get by this guy.

I have the lights off but I have fluorescent bulbs under the shelves that are on all the time Smiley: thumbsup

Yeah the MacBook Air is for looking stuff up now that I'm full screen on all three monitors. If the novelty wears off I'll probably go back to a single window for the game and use the others for other things, but I really like having the space for the UI.

This is a screenshot at that resolution:

Nice!

But surround can be a pita, if you want to watch a show or browse a forum, WHILE playing, you can't.

That's why I added an accessory monitor to my setup. 3x28" surround and a 28" on top.

Since you have a 6xx series, you can plug a 4th monitor into the 4th port and be good to go, I had to get a seperate video card with my gtx 580's i have in sli.

Also, you have the room, seperate your chat windows!!!

Personally, I don't care for 16:9 with tri-screen, it's to weird of a ratio. 16:10 feels better to me, but it's getting more and more difficult to find monitors at that resolution.

I only use the one window, so not necessary :)

I can't get it to use the fourth display without breaking surround, how do you do it?

Nevermind I figured it out, needed to use one of the HDMI outs on the first card for the additional display.

What? Now you have 4 monitors?

Out of curiosity yesterday, I found this link that explained it pretty well.

Super jelly over here man. I might just have to put down the cash for another card and 2 monitors. My pc I just built plays the game at over 100fps in many places so it will no doubt be able to handle that resolution. Simply amazing.

Thread has succeeded in making me wish I had a few thousand of disposable cash to throw into a new PC and desk. :(

I went and priced the parts for a quad-monitor stand, I will post pics when it's done, probably this weekend.

I remember seeing a sort of wrap around monitor for this to eliminate the break up caused by the monitor frames. It was so awesome.

It was $5,000 though....

***ehem, sorry, $7,999

What... No projector? :)

Looks awesome though!

Related note, with the downturn in the economy, some great gear hits the Higher-end pawnshops, Found a Hitachi 1080i capable of throwing a 19 foot screen , with half the life left on the bulb for $250. (original MSRP over $7,000 10 years ago)

Of course, new bulbs are $230, but it stitches to the main PC monitor quite nicely when I get the urge, and is integral to my "travel" PS3 pack.

Here is me playing on my 100" screen with a 1080p projector running the game on desktop high. Gotta love laying back on the couch playing with a controller and a huge screen, 8') Doesn't get any better than that.....(until i start messing with 3d, ill probably have to turn the graphics down a bit but this game should look gorgeous in 3d on a 100" screen,
