Some of Refia's outfits in FFIII have her in skirts. None of the guys ever have outfits with skirts. Smiley: disappointed

Simply more post-feminist male-discrimination and andro-bashing by the female-dominated fashion-ocracy.

I just had too.

and Minfilia... (wtf is up with the hot pink sports bra?)

At least it's lampshaded in the storyline when Livia Sas Junius, herself wearing full plate from top to bottom, suggests that Minfilia should think about using some armor next time. Smiley: laugh

I beg to differ:

I find the mature themes in this game very satisfying. None of it is completely tasteless and overt. I think if any of us became an "adventurer" in the real world of today, we would likely run across these same themes at times. To me, it makes the world of Hydaelyn more immersive. I don't need a game world to patronize my sensibilities as though I'm some basement dweller from the deep south of the US that gets offended when a woman just so happens to act like a human being rather than an ideal that people made up back in the Dark Ages because they feared women who could have equal social footing with men.

If you find female sexuality demeaning, it's probably because you've never experienced an empowered and liberated woman in your life. It can be quite joyful to meet your equal.

I remember that one of the storyline quests have you go back and forth to rub oil on this hairy dude in the hot springs. Really upped the creepy factor for me. Even creepier than those crocodiles with underbites.

Despite all the joking around, i really do feel it adds to the game. After the calamity there really shouldnt be much work. There are some carpenters being wanted, but a good majority of the npc's are unemployed. Some resort to robbery and violence, others simply join the seamstress guild, it's a perfectly reasonable representation of what really would happen in such a situation. It's pretty heavy for a Final Fantasy game, but it builds atmosphere.

Heh....I doubt anybody here's really offended. Any feign at being offended was likely sarcasm and a jab at our hyper sensitive world.
