In the hopes of being helpful, I highly suggest you queue with a friend or 2, preferably with a tank and a healer. You can hardly blame the system for the players actions, I.E. No one wants to tank and heal, just see big numbers.

I do. the friend I refer too when I mention lack of party content etc etc.. is a tank. so I got the tank part secured already.. but we still sit around for 45 mins waiting for a healer lol. and the tank is a rl friend i pestered into getting the game with me on launch who still isnt decided on if hes gonan continue playing [pre free trial so come Oct 2nd I might not even have THAT anymore. As for making ingame friends well I could but thats a bit difficult on a JP server. when SE FINALLY give sus woeld transfer and lets me go to gilgamesh I can finally REALLY start getting things done.

I'm on a JP server. I have a FC/LS full of English speakers and there are several of them in other LS/FC full of English speakers too. Making in game friends has been the easiest thing to do for me at least. If you are anything in game like you are on this forum then reap what you sow.

Ok this is what's confusing me.. you aren't even 25 yet and it's been what aleast a month ? Character creation has been open for awhile now why not just start over and hang with your ppl ? I can understand if you had alot of crafting done and a job maybe over 30 but you have barley touched anything... you coulda made a guy on Gilgamesh like a week ago with your buddies and maybe even be caught up ?

Be more like Sakura, then at least you'd have a healer?

Twilight has a huge fanbase, too. You certainly know how to sell yourself.

So why do you care whether or not there's new story to go with the new content? You aren't even close to running out of the one you've got.

That was my question, and even once you finish the Main story which goes on past the Ultima Fight there is other in-game stuff to do.

yes theres other ingame stuff to do but the story is what keeps me inteersted. Sure Ill DO teh other non story stuff but if its a long time in between story segments Id get burned out on all the grinding and quit before then.. now new story stuff every 3 months I can handle.. any longer than that and Id have to find other games to occupy my time while Se brings up new stuff. though of course youre gonna say "then why not do THAT while you wait then?" to which Ill say "because Ill be losing 15 bucks for the months Im not playing while I wait"

I think the point was that you're not even done with the story yet you are asking for more story.

You can't finish the main story until you hit level 50 and it seems you are still under 30? So yeah, you might not be done by November's patch at that rate.

And this explains the 45 minute wait. Have you heard of time zones? I hope you're clicking the "NA/EU/FR" buttons in duty finder.

The answer to the thread title is yes. Always.

You were complaining in beta...even though you didn't participate in beta.
You're complaining about the story ending too soon...in the vanilla version of the game...and you haven't even reached the end yet.

Duo, it is always just you.

On the Top Right of the menu, you can choose to get matched with all languages, so I would make sure they are checked. By default, only your language is checked, which I assume is English, so really you should be getting matched with English players. Increase your chances of getting matched by clicking the other languages.

Top right corner of the DF screen. There will be little boxes that say D E J F. These meean Deutsch (German), English, Japanese and French. This way you can party with absolutely anyone on absolutely any server.

The only thing I don't really recommend is picking "Join in Progress" as you'll just wind up sitting with 2 other people waiting for the princess (tank or otherwise) who bailed to be replaced while your dungeon timer expires. And you can't mine fish in the dungeon, so you may as well wait outside where you can ;)

I think you can set it up so that they are, it's in the language settings somewhere.

I actually think the game has a decent number of dungeons while leveling up. You get a new one every 3 or 4 levels after level 20. Some of them are optional, but they're still there.

A new one every 3-4 level after 20 sounds good until you factor in ho wlong it take sto level at those levels...... 3-4 levels at that rate means hours of work befor ethe next dungeon. and the number of main quests alone at those levels dont even giv eyou enough exp to get halfway tnl so you can go tghe next main quests. right now Im 24. I need about 50k before i hit 25 and do the next main story... I doubt 50k isnt gonan be obtained in 30-60 minutes. Id rather spend that time doing thinsg with others as opposed to being solo.

Sure when it came to rank missions in FFXI you can say that only 10% of it as well was BCNM fights and most of it was just running around talking to NPCs or touching ???s which would be true However to do the next set of missions you had to level up and to level up you had to spend hours in a party playing with OTHER PEOPLE to do that. So all the "forced" interaction with others between party based BCNM/dungeons in the story made up for the story's overall lack of multiplayer content.. that isnt the case with FFXIV

I didnt say you were 25 YOU said it mmmello
