Has anyone else notice that there really isn't a need to farm elemental shards if your working on all the crafting and harvesting classes,

I'd also like to say just how easy and fun they are, I've never really been a big fan of crafting but it's gond dam addictive.
I love the idea they have with the fishing guide, I wish there was one for the other doh and dol.
Ooh also ive haven't seen it posted on any another forums but I'm thinking of opening a dol and doh link shell.
Tho it would be much better to just open a free company for dol and doh I have no disillusion that people have already settled with there respective free companies.

Wow really that many shards mmm I wonder if the leves scale with there elemental shard rewards too.

I've started farming shards with every DoL attempt.

If I know I'm using mats to skillup, I farm the shards at the same time as the mats.

And I try to shade it high. I like to come out of each crafting session with more shards than I started crafting with.

Sorry but Im not giving gil to a retainer named Xcvxcvxcv or some other facesmash name so I can craft, especially when I can walk right outside any major city and beat some trees/rocks for no more than 30 min and have enough to work with.

I have a lot of crystals left over from 1.0 and am now dangerously low on Wind Shards after leveling up Goldsmith at the weekend, I wish you could shatter crystals in to shards. Looks like I'll have to go Mining soon; as I always mine up the raw mats I use a lot more crystals than someone that buys mats at the Wards.
