Yea I am not new to healing I was a career whm in ffxi.
We also had a bard with refresh.

But I threw three cure3 on the guy and he still died and he blamed me for not keeping up cures on him... He was just getting hit for too much and he was horrible. He never kept the mobs facing away from us so there I am healing up everyone. The guy was fighting with one of the dd's the whole way. ..This last run was a breeze, I did nothing different and most dungeons have been a breeze.

Were you using cure3 to heal the tank? I almost never use cure3 since it is an aoe cure with a Cure Potency of 550. Cure2 is the single target cure with Cure Potency of 650. I usually just Stoneskin, regen, cure1 and use cure2 when it procs or if the tanks health is sneaking low. Divine Seal when I need 30% more healing magic potency and Presence of Mind when I need some fast cures. I toss out Benediction when it would take more more than 2 cure2 to almost top them off. There is a lot of AOE damage in that fight so I usually Medica/Medica II unless cure3 procs.

It's certainly sounds like you may have had a poor tank but there are a lot more tools for a whm than regen and cure3.

IMO just take cure 3 out of the shortcut bar, at the moment that spell is useless, medica 2 is more mana efficient than cure 3 for AoE.

I always thought that thread was the inspration for Rihtahtyn sas Arvina...

I mean, look at the guy.. Dual Weilding shields with rocket-like bazookas on them... how is that NOT inspired by the previous quotes you had.

Well, I would argue that Rihtahtyn reminds me of Cao Ren from Dynasty Warriors.

Yeah, about the only time I could see Cure 3 being useful at all would be during collapsing between Titan HM phases simply because it's one of the rare occassions everyone's clumped up enough to actually have it hit the entire group. Beyond that Medica/II beats the stuffing out of it.

Cure III is acquired several levels before Medica II. Not everyone's dungeon experiences are level 50 ;)

Yea I believe the dungeon is level 42 or 43...
But anyway I actually didn't realize it was aoe just figured it was the next cure since I just got it. Why call it cure 3 then and not something else like curaga.. That is just plain stupid. I guess just used to FFXI and have to pay a little more attention too the spells.

Even so 3 cures should keep a guy alive.. Cant keep someone alive who is getting hit for 70 percent of their hp on a regular mob.
