I keep hearing Japanese servers are better at communication and help each other. Are we able to still transfer to Japanese servers? Which have at least a few English speakers?

Yeah, because, like, it's all in the servers.

There are no Japanese servers.

It's a server who's hub happens to be based in japan. Same amount of english and other language speaking people on it. Seriously. There's no EU, NA, JP servers. Just a physical location which is completely irrelevant to the players, and the quality of the players, on it.

Looking back on all your other trolling/complain topics, i'm beginning to think the problem is not with the people you're with, but that you yourself are the problem.

Someone said that they are completely different. The players actually work together in the endgame and not raging if a player does not have gear. Party’s lots of the time in dungeon will not try to adjust to a tank or other roles that cannot handle them unless we take our time. Duty Finder is not a party made, its random people from different servers.
I am pretty sure Japanese servers to not duty finder with US servers. I have never run into one in duty finder at all.

Odds are lowish that you'll DF with a non English speaking Japanese player unless you hit that little 'J' in the language options.

Considering it's all you do, quite easily I'd say.

At least you stated you were female and not a woman as you surely don't have the maturity to be considered one.

And people wonder why I'm a misogynist. People like this shouldn't be allowed on the internet, in public, or generally allowed to live. "omg look at me i'm a woman" Why is gender relevant? Who cares? Oh wait, you're just calling it out for attention. Go play in traffic.

No offense, but I think we all need to address the thread topic and not the past history of the poster. It is a pretty standard question that really doesn't need any interjection of bias just because a certain poster threw it out there.

Talk about eating your own community. Take the thread at face value and check the judgement of the poster at the door. Sometimes they might amaze you. I get it, the poster has a history... but even Duo has his moments of clarity. If you constantly attack a person because they trolled in the past, what chance do you give them to try and improve? Seems a bit harsh.

As for the OP... Japanese dataservers do have more latency for people in America/Canada, and yes they are populated by more japanese people who tend not to be elitist asshats, though there are those everywhere - but the ratio is better over there. They also tend to be a hell of a lot more patient with grinding out gear and give more leeway to making mistakes if you are brand new. That said, they also tend to be tighter in group play. The major issue I see is the latency with the Japanese datacenter servers.. which is a death sentence for dodging Boss abilities.

Past history aside, Queen EmmanuellaLima needs to cut out with the colored font and italics crap. I can't take any post seriously that makes my eyes bleed.

I don't care what gender you are, you have absolutely no business speaking for all women or men or anything else. You have your experience, that's fine. But keep your sexist - towards both genders - bull***t to yourself.

With gamers, this usually works.

Sad, but true. Smiley: lol

Funny enough, one of my fellow female gamers in RL is playing a catboy this go round in XIV. She was tired of getting hit on.

Yes they are friendlier and don't usually drop-out if you wipe. They can get a little bossy at higher levels but they're not condescending, in my experience.

Edit: If you play with Japanese and have never run that particular dungeon, please watch a youtube video before entering (especially if you're a tank--the leader) since it will be a bit more difficult for them to communicate with you and vice-versa.

I'd love to see this topic die out, but wanted to comment on this atleast. This isnt actually remotely true.

First, how friendly they are completely depends on the player itself. Are there less trolls in the JP community in general opposed to the NA community? Sure, social standard and image may have them refrain from such things a little more than other players. But they're every bit as friendly or unfriendly as your casual encounter in the city or on the fields. It's irrelevant really.

Second, while they are infact less inclined to explode in your face and cuss you out for above mentioned reasons, they will not tollerate a lot of mistakes and will kick you out or give up an entire run just to get you out of the group. Also, while they might not say so to your face, they will (and do) complain to their Free Company and/or Linkshells about you to the point where everyone in it will make sure not to ever invite you ever again. Or simply in party chat in japanese. Especially if they dont know you can read it. They can be pretty brutal.

Quite insightful, for all girls out there since simply have no way to know. Is PMS similar to be severely sleep deprived? I find myself quite cranky after a few weeks of only 4 hours of rest at night.

Yeah, fairly close. You feel like you're sleep deprived and hungover and that the beans you had for lunch are really disagreeing with you. Everyone around you is thoughtless and doesn't care how their actions affect you. Add in a headache and high blood pressure spikes due to the thoughtless people, and an undeniable craving for sweet things and just extra food in general.

It only lasts a day or two for most women, and by the time we're in our twenties we've more or less got it under control. It's a terrible thing for teenaged girls, which is why they're all deranged.

To me, this thread screams "I'm a guy pretending to be female hinting that I want to transfer to a better server in hopes that hormones driven boys will carry me through content because they don't want to see me leave". I know several female gamers and they don't tend to be so quick to declare their gender.

I only declare it when people start referring to me with the wrong pronoun. Smiley: laugh

Sometimes I wonder if I should turn in my "girl" card. I work in IT for a living. I like beer. I hate shopping. I like video games.

Then a shiny new seasonal box from Bath & Body Works comes in and I revel in my femininity for a bit.
