ZAM FC - How is it going?Follow

Hello!

I left the ZAM FC some time ago (perhaps 6 weeks ago now), and am wondering how things are going.

Please let me know what the state of affairs in the ZAM FC are in terms of community, end game progression, and assisting FC members.

Thanks!

I'd say we're doing good. Not a ton of people in BC right now, but there's a static being put together. Otherwise, weekly runs for dungeons, primals, story, etc on the KC boards. Pretty much exactly the same good shape it was in 6 weeks ago, with some improvements to boot. Check out the forums if you like.

Hard to say, I'm not there anymore. I left when 95% of the people I knew had moved on. As far as I can tell it is doing fine, but I dont know enough people there to make an educated guess.

I completely agree with this. The FC is really taking shape, especially as more and more of our members are hitting lvl 50. We have weekly events for endgame dungeons, story progression, levelling etc. A good chunk of the members are friendly and vocal, we often run lower level content to catch people up, and there is an overall good atmosphere in the chat. We have our own forums that are relatively busy and the game is barely two months old.

I enjoy my time in game mostly due to friends I have made in the FC - and I haven't even reached the endgame yet (lvl 47 ATM).

Edit: also, I think the KC forums may be locked now for non-members. Could be wrong, worth checking it out.

We're just doing our thing and slowly progressing. Having fun and not stressing.

Tell me about it! Pretty much every post I make on this site is during work hours on my phone, and every single time there's a bizarre spell check replacement that I notice after I've posted!
Drives me crazy sometimes.

Yeah its doing well.

We have a more casual vibe, but with scheduled events.

I think its very tough to run a FC or any guild at this stage of the game. To include but not to alienate, to progress but not to stagnate. In short I think Bartel is doing a good job.

I can't speak for the whole FC but direction wise I like the more casual/slower paced atmosphere, however things seem to be picking up and people are gearing up.

I hate auto text on phones. I wish I could turn it off. It takes perfectly correct and well placed words and twists them into unrecognizable sentences.

It's a lot better now that I have an android phone with Swype. I was having a terrible time on the Windows phone I had up until a month ago. It's likely more my fault, but I don't remember having so much trouble typing on a phone as I did with that one.

It's a solid group. You can usually get help with what you need and there's usually someone on.

Same as others have said, doing well and helping people get to and gear through the end game stuff. Really good community-wise and we're organizing more things as people pass milestones.

Are you guys getting titan HM done for new players?

I don't think we're doing runs for people outside our FC, but I could be wrong...

I'm not at end-game yet for battle classes, I focused on crafting and gathering and am 50 Miner, Armorer, and Goldsmith.

I hope they will run us through when we get our battle classes to 50 finally, because we're behind from a gear standpoint... I wish we could just craft the gear needed... but alas.... it appears crafting is nice but not essential for gearing up end-game.

You should come back to the FC!

Losing nearly every level 50 in 2 or 3 days put a bit of a damper on our endgame activities. But, as is mentioned below, there are definitely people there or very close.

A lot of us aren't quite to titan yet, but last night we had a scheduled event to help folks with progression and did Ifrit HM for people who needed progress or the weapon.

We're still not the go-to FC for people that want to rush to Coil, but we are doing fine.

Agree....I think the pace has evened out. The folks that were itching to fast track (nothing wrong with that) seem to have left for a faster FC. Seems the Zam FC is certainly becoming more cohesive and organized but without the pressure of constant focus on endgame and all that it entails. That's the way I see it anyway...but I haven't logged in for a few days either.

ZAM fc is doing great! We are now running weekly events for both story progression and endgame. We're currently working people through primal hm, relics, etc. we probably won't be starting a coil group for quite a while as we had a few members who were a little more advanced split off to do their own thing, but the fc is quite healthy and active. It's a more laid back atmosphere, which has really allowed people to progress at their own pace. We're not hardcore, but we are still advancing all the time.

I was involved in some of the progression stuff last night. We did Cape Westwind, also story Garuda.

I did 90k on the Garuda group, so J'illren (sp) if youre reading this I hope you guys were able to find someone to finish with.

I'll apologize later in game if I'm able to log on. :x

We got it done so no worries and no one was mad at you, 90k happens to the best of us from time to time. As for the FC, the exodus (especially since most of those were officers that left without so much as a goodbye) did hurt progression for the people that were just starting endgame but we have had quite a few that were lagging catch up and are now helping on the end game progression. Also, all the members now have been great about helping lower level members run group content. The main thing is, we are making sure that people can take it at a pace they feel comfortable with and yet know that when they need help or reach end game they will still have the help they need.

My experience has been that these types of Free Conpanies/Linkshell/Guilds which focus on helping others and have the patience to build the slow but steady players have longevity where most of the end game groups burn out and disappear. Good for you all.

Um, no.

How it likely happened is that the people who have more time to invest in the game wanted to focus on endgame, while the rest of the group had not had the same level of time, and therefore was behind. So instead of simply sitting on their hands, they chose to splinter off and focus their efforts elsewhere.

Stop trying to turn stuff like this into some kind of MMO class war, @#%^tard. Everyone wants to have fun, but not everyone enjoys the same things.

Lol you got pretty upset there. I said "from an outsiders perspective" meaning I didnt know the whole story. Good job on the name calling there. You keep it classy.
