So my FC decides to do a few Garuda runs today, and we go in, the fight goes ok, and then we wipe, no biggie. The other WHM in our party says it's her first time doing it. No big deal right.. wrong, we go to engage the 2nd fight, and she starts jumping around in front of Garuda, doing no healing, and saying we are being rude for calling her a troll, she of course is in all allagan gear, and has a relic +1.. so how is it she has never done Garuda....?
Any ways, her/his name is Silvie Theory, and she is on Behemoth. Just a heads up!!

Just dont do Duty Finder Garuda's or recruit random members for it when you're bringing your FC.

Seriously, it's not worth your time or the effort.

Everytime i just go with my friends or FC, the fight is a breeze and we get it done without any problems whatsoever. Whenever we pick up two-three strangers, one of them always decides to strip down and wipe us repeatedly (on purpose mind you, running out and dragging it to us and the rocks so it catches us before we can prepare) or decides to just not heal or something.

Just make a ****-list of all the people who crossed you, and make sure you not invite them ever again anymore. Eventually you're gonna run out of jerks, right?

There's just a lot of people bored at endgame levels who seem to only be able to get their rocks off by ruining other people's fun and runs. It's pretty toxic unless you go with people you know.

You could add people who were helpful to your friendlist for easy recruiting afterwards again. Makes things pretty easy like that.

And as much as it pains me to say it. This trolling has become the "Norm" for a lot of the DF Groups I've come across. It's a shame that the Other MMO mentality has seeped into the Final Fantasy Community and such blatant disrespect for fellow players exists. I hope for some type of change to this behavior or it will be the Community that kills XIV before it has the chance to really take off.

i was playing 1.0 one time and i was setting up a run to try and get moogle weapons. I get the party together and we end up having a tank with a relic and full darklight. That gear was a lot harder to get back then, but whatever. Anyway we start the run and everything is going well until we get to the middle part of the fight where the mog king spawns and his other 7 minions respawn. At that point the paladin has to "go get a haircut" and he just logs out right there. It was a little funny because of the way he said it but that was still a waste of time considering it took 30 minutes to get a full party.

I've found reporting for harassment to be comforting. I'm not sure if it actually does anything, but there was a post a while back from SE saying to report that kind of behavior because they don't want it in the game any more than we do, and it does feel a bit better doing something than nothing.

I think a lot of trolling in FFXI was like mpk'ing the entire player population in places like Crawler's Nest. Bodies piled high at the entrance and nobody could get in til the crawlers slid back to their areas. I kicked a guy from our ls for doing it repeatedly.
I think most of the blatant trolls will find a new flavor of the month when EQNext comes out, or...hell, I haven't been paying attention to anything else for months. We just have to hope there's a decent shiny that'll attract the worst of them.

3 people in our FC reported a tank that we got from the Duty Finder for Garuda HM.

He seemed to try the first time around, but after we failed once (I can't even remember what happened, may have been bad placement for the add spawns) all he would do was sit at the respawn location.

We were surprised when SE notified us back with in-game mail, telling us that the person got a 3 day suspension.
